A Maps section

Get a grip, Dell. We want this section, and map developments seem to be popular. We want this section, and it's a good idea.

Well, I could say that the development section is not needed, because we hardly get anyone posting their dev project up. The section is needed, I mean, many people might actually start making maps, to fill up the section. Another suggestion could be that we could add a Sub-Section to the development section so it doesn't "kill space"...

I never said it wasn't a good idea. I'm just saying what requirement it needs to actually make a section from it. If you have 3-4 maps shown a week do we REALLY need a section for it? People will obviously still post their shows in the wrong section still. There is like 10 people here who I've seen showing maps so yeah... doesn't make sense to make a huge section for it when map showing/releasing/developing isn't that active. Yes i know your going to say "If the section is made then people will make more maps" Well, look right now. Just because the section doesn't exist people don't do it? When the section becomes "old" people will stop posting there again. Anyways that's just me. I'd rather test this idea with a show thread first, and if things become active then make the section.

Maybe there aren't that many maps released here because there isn't a section dedicated to them.

That's a good point. Since this is a SERVER development forum. But hey, releasing official files really isn't development but that's allowed here. Why not maps.

It's too cluttered here really. There's maps along with officials and tools and emulators and weapons and CS and etc. There's probably so many help topics because nothing is organized.

That's pretty much why I started this thread, because maybe if the section was a little more organized, more people would actually try to develop and release things. A maps section would provide reassurance to someone's graphic skills, and provide maps for the "not very artistic". Maybe if there was a section, yes people would start posting it. I do agree a little with people just being stupid, and posting in other sections though, but you need to believe in the flyff community(/endsarcasm lol...)

Instead of Map section, there should be a "Flyff customization" section. Weapons, Interface, Maps, Items, etc.

Oh yeah lol believe in the community, then when you try to help the community they flame you and make threads about how I'm a bad moderator deleting other people's threads and I start flame wars. Oh yes believe in the community that will solve everything. /end sarcasm.

@VLxPain, I re-opened your thread that Reimniess deleted 2 hours before you re-posted it. Why would you remake it? There is a two hour gap between them and you didn't see it appear back? Also, this is more of a discussion not a request, that's why she deleted it not me.

@mootie, you posted a help/discussion thread in the dev section, no wonder it got deleted. :ott1:

@Denichu, Yeah there is a lot of maps there, but that's because the community don't always show their development projects.


You could probably get a sub section in the development section or release section named "FlyFF Maps" or "FlyFF Customizations" Pick one, I'll request it later.

Oh, damn, and I thought that 'sarcasm' part was real. and this bi epic pr0 bc im sick of looking at terrible maps (or just maps in general) or well flyff ragezone in general but lets ignore that one.

sorry to tell you all the only people that could make a map section don't read this section, I'm considering deleting this but I'll ask why dell hasn't when I get home
