It seems everytime someone decides to make a show thread regardless of the content, it becomes a breeding ground for flames and ignorance. Plus it always seems to start on one side if you catch me.
Therefore I propose instead of one show thread per item/etc, a person should just open a Work Shop thread. We've done this in years past on many RPG maker websites, and other game programming forums. It works very well and the members don't get ridiculed for every single thing. This will encourage people to start showing and or releasing things they make REGARDLESS if the content was ripped or unique.
The places I've been we did not ridicule people for recoloring items, frankenspriting them, or whathaveyou. We all pitched in to offer positive criticism to help the person learn and do better if the show is not very good and needs improvement. One thing we stressed is that you cannot ridicule inside the threads.
I've seen a lot of people trying to break into the graphics world, become a 3d artist or web programmer. I'm tired of people closing their threads because 3 people can't contain themselves and slam it at every turn. Last I checked, they were not the foremost authority on what is to be posted. We have 2 mods whether or not they agree all the time, we do have them.
I have no problem hitting the report button constantly and if I have keep doing it until the point gets across I will. This section has come a long way since the last 3 or so years and I'll be damned if I'm going to let certain influences ruin this place.
I want to know from all of you including the people who show/release things, if you would mind combining your efforts to one thread for all to see instead of doing it in pieces. You'll get more traffic and you can better answer people's response and criticism that way.
Give it some thought and not a 3 second spam post. For those of you following me around and disproving everything I say, you can stay off this thread if all you want to do is be negative.

Last time I checked, show threads were the #1 producer of releases.
So removing them would be pointless, and flyff section would quickly die.
