    Changing NPC Models

Welcome to the guide for changing NPC models. I have looked extensively to see if someone has written this because I wasnt sure and it looked liked no one has so I will continue on lol

    Firstly...

    What are NPC Models?
Npc Models are what your stores/shops read to find out what "form" they should take on. Changning these models is great for events, holidays, etc. I have recently changed the NPCs in my Private server to make it look like they are all in costume for Halloween. It is a neat thing!

How do I change my NPC Models
To begin you need 2 things...
    -A Monster ID List
    -A NPC Model List

They arent very different. Its just that the Monster ID list obvioulsy wont have any NPC Models in it. If you need one or the other there is a link at the bottom of the post.

Once you have those use the following steps to change your NPC IDs (I highly suggest you shut your server down before doing this. Makes it a ton easier when you want to bring it back up)

    1. Go into your database using whatever program you use (Navicat, etc.)

    2. In this list find the spawn_npc table

    3. Back up the database just incase something goes wrong.

    4. Open the table

    5. Hit Ctrl+F and find the name of the NPC you want.

    6. (Step is optional if you backed up your db) Write down the ID that is currently there.

    7. Now open up your Monster ID list and find the ID of the monster you want that NPC to be

    8. Put that ID in the Model column of your database ( should be next to the name)

    9. Save the database and start up your servers!

Now when you log in the NPC you edited should look like that monster. Please keep in mind I did this with Lightning Server files and Im using Navicat. You may have to edit parts of the guide to fit whatever you use.

    Result
    Cash Shop Seller
    Boboku,Boboko, and Luda
    The Postbox
    Juria
    General Store
    Magic Marche

Thanks for reading! Hope you guys all make your NPCs uber cool for events and Holidays

It would help if the NPC ID's was complete with all NPC's. =P

    Re: Changing NPC Models

This is a really old thread, so that is why links do not work. But the IDs are the exact same as the ones in Official files, so just browse through forums and find a list of Monsters / ITEM ids for official files and you can use those.
