instead of closing discussion threads. just delete the flames :P get better mods that are actually more active. I see Dell on the flyff section alot but i don't see the other mods around here.
Don't tell him to delete anything... if you do, he'll delete EVERYTHING. When people ask for him to clean a thread he'll delete everything except the first post. well i agree with you somewhat here. but as in flame i'm meaning. "f*ck you..." not criticism about someones work something i'm sure every dev wants to hear is how to make there development better. and more creative. saying things like "this sucks" should be deleted. should try to criticize and help then just say this is lame. but you are right it is over censored mostly. subscription section isn't. well i don't think it is. I think its time for a change at the flyff section at least to make it better for the community. i cant speak for other parts of ragezone :/
Well lets put it down to the nature of the flyff members. Majority of them turn a lovely thread into a PG13 nigthmare then worse. A good example is this thread. I'm sure it will turn into a rather heated debate eventually thus why majority of the posts get cleaned.
i just think most discussions that are being closed (idk who closes em) shouldn't be unless the thread makers asks for it or its a been dead for 3 months or something like that. its a discussion people are going to post what they feel like saying about the subject :/ now the release section only leave things that help the developer's and people use whatever released. like it kinda is now. i only got a problem with the discussion section and everything being deleted and closed.I have no life

Exactly. I allow posts like "Work on etc etc etc" and delete posts like "Man this sucks don't even bother fixing it cause you suck at color blending blah blah"
Yep... and when posts that disappearing people feel like moderators are singling them out or just don't like their post or they are being censored when it's not any of that.

just examples i could find on the first page of clean-up but some i think a majority have gotten deleted all together. wouldn't close em unless person wishes for them to be closed. rather just keep them without flame like "f*ck this..." "your gay" etc

You guys forget that before Reimniess and me came to this section threads in this part of the section were closed instantly for no reason.
Flyff section need more mods i think. the only active mod are DellHone and Error404. Or its right, there are just 2 mods? .-.

I really think your over exaggerating a bit.
There are plenty of discussions threads here that are still open, they get closed because of flaming. Once a thread gets into the habit of flaming then it's pretty much lost.
they aren't lost if they get the flame cleaned out and post saying stop flaming then just start giving infractions.
That increases the amount of flame in the thread. I know by experience.
If I were to undelete every single deleted post in all the discussion threads you'd be surprised.
well maybe we need more active mods so then that idea would work and wouldn't make dell have to do so much work :P
Well yeah I admit I do a lot and it stresses me out and I don't do things exactly right.
Only other person who helps occasionally is Error 404. I tried to get someone in the section to be a moderator but that never happened.
standard moderator procedure to delete every post even remotely related to those that broke the rules, I used to edit out the the parts that broke the rules if the rest was legit but for the most part moderators are expected to do no more than clean up all related posts
just because you don't like it doesn't mean it isn't right
leaving loose ends for people to comment on is bad practice but few flyff private server staffs know that.
sadly mods are only required to be on once a week and those as active Dell or as much as I was are few and far between.

I know it's your job to delete posts and whatnot, but I really have to be honest here and share something. The reason Facebook and websites similar are SO POPULAR is because they don't have a dedicated moderator group flying through profiles and censoring everything they think is flaming and trolling. Ragezone would be ten times more popular if the mods just chilled and let some people say what they want sometimes. You can't call it Ragezone if you aren't able to rage sometimes.I have no life

You do realize, out of all the forums I've been on, this forum has the most complaints of moderators I've EVER seen. Not because they're horrible moderators, but because this place is way too heavily censored. I mean come on, this place deals with illegal server files and we can't even say the word "fuck" anymore? (I had posts deleted or edited because I used the word fuck.) It's getting out of hand, Mental if you want your forum count to double or triple you really need to tell your mods to loosen up or revise the way they run this place, the censoring is way too extreme.
