Re: Flyff Source Code (Password Protected)
i give up trying to crack the password on the archive its not worth it, since the release of the official files the flyff scene has become a place of take, take, take nobody is willing to give, it alsways X told me not to say or x told me not to give doesnt anyone have their own brain anymore, its the reason i quit developing for flyff so much the flyff scene is full of hoarders who get as much as they can and sit on it for as long as possible is there any point in a developers section at all being as "development" is none existant its just a constant wait for someone to release something and leech it, as for buying a new computer for cracking that is insane, most people neither have the money to spare or if they do want to spend it and for good reason theres no practical use for a compuer so beast other than for bragging rights

Re: Flyff Source Code (Password Protected)
Has anyone been able to get the files out of the archive?
Because, I've been able to extract all files from the archive, however
they are all 0kb (except for "PcPatDDmg.wav" which is 2bytes, and won't play).
I'm pretty sure I don't have the password, but I'm able to extract the files (however they come out as 0kb).
Is that normal?
edit1--
An update on that strange PCPatDDmg.Wav's filesize.
It seems, different passwords, generate a different size for this file?
I just tried another password and it became 63kb, then returned to the
previous password extract and it became 2kb again.
edit2--
Another password extracts Cola.exe at 10kb..
Meh, this could be normal but x.x, it's a weird normal
edit3--
Another password puts Cola.exe at 11kb, and PCPatDDmg.Wav at 1kb..

That is weird..
I know that the files in the archive is encrypted, and the only thing to identify if a file in the archive is real, is by the crc32 hash.
So you provide a key to the archive and it will extract the files and then it runs an CRC hash test on the output and on the real crc (what its suppose to be), if it fails the password is wrong or the file is corrupted, there is no other way to test it.
So even if you manage to get files to become bigger than 0kb, the data is most likely going to be encrypted, but try different passwords on textfiles and see if the data within is encrypted or not, if it is then it's all fail..

Lmfao, I was able to extract the files with the password "1" so even if you get it wrong it'll extract the files, they'll just be corrupted/incomplete...

Even though you didn't like the tard it's worth a try...

Respect for you heath.
Anyways I would know of a few things to do with a monster pc, and considering these files are worth circa 250.000 dollars( not exact since idk the version of it) I would spend a mere 5k for it if I was able to retrieve it then.

There's no reason to post pictures of it here if you aren't going to release it, unless you want to brag. It doesn't contribute to Nicco and everybody elses hard nonstop work.

Yes, this is not a showoff thread.
This thread is about actually acquiring the password for this archive... not showing off something you have from it.
... edit: That cola isn't even from the archive ...

Pwnage guessing skills.

Re: Flyff Source Code (Password Protected)
It depends on how long the password is. I think using a dictionary attack is the best method.

what do you guys think about what bliss said?
the rumor that it is 8 in length and an alphanumeric password?
wouldnt it be worth a try to guess what it is?
i mean if there are realy are 4-5 ppl who know the password, it couldnt be that hard to figure out.
making a dictionary with common words from flyff and numbers now because i want this shit so badly for my new shader creations that i would murder for it (joke ;D)
Call it blank despair or whatever suits best in this case but im curious now ^^

And then the only thing they will benefit is to recompile the sourcecode and once again they STILL use the offical files. As long as you use, or copy a file from the official server sourcecode you are still using aeonsoft stuff, you are however allowed to rebuild to an emulator by taking ideas and formulas and such from the official files, but you cant copy-paste code. And frankly that's just about what everyone with the sourcecode will do, is to recompile it, because they are most likely too lazy to create an emulator from start because it takes ALOT of time to create an emulator EVEN if you have the sourcecode.
What divine meant is probably that no EMULATOR developer has yet gotten the sourceceode, and that's the problem...
But we are doing nothing but just talking about things, I test passwords for the archive sometime, but most of the time I don't bother thinking about the official sourcecode at all anymore...

It's way more than that?
If a license costs around 1 million how could the source be 1-4 thousand?
Nobody has bought the source... I believe they got it from the developers computer or found it somewhere else.

Also if they sell it and get caught, they will be in some deep stuff with gala labs.

Not really. Its going to get released. We all know it. Just like the official files. Just going to cause a lot of begging towards those people. Its going to be an ego thing for a little while in which then its going to spread. Ive been busy at work so i was unaware of this at first. I give it a couple of weeks. Hey who cares... Just going to cause big problems with servers that try to use it to benefit it from with gala-net. Plus releasing it will only benefit with actually developers. Only problem i see is things being backdoored with their "amazing" new features. These backdoors will most likely be for botnets, and or Trojans that would allow remote access for an example. In which that would be the users fault. Only realistic problem is the face of Gala-net with servers using it to benefit from. Which i couldn't care less about. I admire the fact that the emulator developers can learn from this. Create something new and perfect their current projects. Anyway that's my say on this.

It will destroy more than create. Hackers will be able to exploit the server better than ever if the source is ever leaked.

As far as i'm aware yannick has 20% of the source.
It doesn't matter where they got it from. Its happened. Wait for the storm.
Yannick doesn't have the source.

I can see how it would be bad, don't worry about that, but this is their fault they need to see the cause of their actions if you get what i mean? Its no so much that if its going to be released it a matter of when. We all know it.

Yup. Only a couple servers at most will be able do anything with the source. Other than that, the only thing I see happening is a million help threads pop up, "Help me I can't compile this".
-
Re: Flyff Source Code (Password Protected)
the fact is...now you can't believe those people who have those source file...
Like any other program released here, when they will give their custom neuz.exe to allow people to play at their server...Who will know if they haven't add a backdoor now ? without the source code you can't know...
i don't speak about nicco of course but personnally, i will never play to a private server with one of their custom neuz.exe...and you shouldn't too...
about the 7.zip file, i really think it use a korean word ...

That will most likely be true with the variables thing. People that won't understand that what they are playing with.

The source isn't messy really, it's well structured, far beyond anyone's current emulator work actually, even mine. :P
Yeah you can add backdoors to any program, nobody is safe, it's the player who should only play on servers they trust, a good server starts off with a network of friends, if you see a server advertiseing on ragezone, thats either a one week server or someone who want to exploit people because nobody of those servers turned out to be legit.

Re: Flyff Source Code (Password Protected)
I have one thing to say, if you can open it, you can crack it just as fast as you opened it. What I am trying to say is, you just have to find a way to bypass the thing in the program that says this password is right and this is wrong.

that says you havent got a clue what your on about, 7 zip uses rijndael AES encryption which requires a key the password is hashed 26k times to get the key so only inputting the correct password will generate the right key to decrypt the contents of the archive if you by pass this you will get 0kb files which are corrupt and useless

Hey.... that ain't true :O
Anyways..
Doubt anyone will crack this archive..
You got better chances at waiting until source is leaked.
Adn yea.. bypassing womn't work ;D

Following your stupid logic, noone will ever play a private server of Flyff again, since there is no way to be sure they aren't using a modified Neuz.exe.......

lol go to their website and look the big new those people will put on their "new page" "exclusivity we have add XX system, and YY new functions"...
That's the best way to know if they are using custom neuz.. or play v6 or v11 server you are sure to use old neuz.exe..
But yes like you said and it's finally what i'm thinking...Because of those leaked sources file, we shouldn't continue to play to any private server..
But do what you want, if you're confident with people like noah or deadly data or other hackers ...it's your problem

Not if you got a FUD one.
Anyways, who would infect their neuz's with virusses if that's a risk to the entire business you are starting. That doesn't make sense. It's like you own the FBI and then let some kids join to shoot bad people.

Well they don't really have to add new content to compile a new Neuz.exe with a trojan hardcoded in it, so again that's not the best way.
I kinda think you're a bit jealous because you were working on an emulator, and if the souce gets leaked, all of the time you spent on it was nothing but a waste lol, and don't say "oh but emulatores can be better coded and w/e" because that's just a lame excuse lol.
Let's all go back to eFlyff, not.

Time spent on his emu wouldn't really be a waste. He can just better incorporate the true values of everything into it now and make it that much better. And possibly use it as a base for another game or even make his emu into his own game once he knows how to make a client for one. Which having the source for can help.

Re: Flyff Source Code (Password Protected)
like blackbox said i'm not jalous and no it's not waste of time...
Learning how to develop a server and a game isn't waste of time, it's very interesting and even if my project couldn't be finished at least i have learn a lot and meet some good developpers. I'm actually like Nicco...I learn a lot and for professionnal work it will be a bonus...
Like i said do what you want... i don't care much about your futur problems
This thread ca n be close because nicco have the source and it was him who opened it...Now no one continue to crack this password so it will become a useless topic
PS : oh yes finally i'm a little jalous because i think i could have learn a lot with those file so yes i'm, jalous of nicco to having the luck to work on them. Bu that's for studying reason...

I'm not going to close it because Neurospace.7z is a source code from 2005, version may be 4, 5 or 6, as of yet I surely believe nobody have ever cracked this archive, but nevertheless, there's a chance it can be cracked.

Re: Flyff Source Code (Password Protected)
I bet DeadlyData could crack it XD

Only if he has right information to figure out the password yes, but there's no way to actually use some kind of cracking technologi to get the password as of the aes encryption.
I, and other people have tested a lot of aeonsoft passwords, neither of which is the right one for this archive, it could be that only Xahgo knows the actual password for it and/or the one he told by sending a message such as e-mail upon distribution. But personally I don't personally think the password is in korean, because so far most things is english according to username and passwords and frankly if Xahgo never tested if 7z can handle korean letters (Unicode), he wouldn't just add a korean password to it.

Re: Flyff Source Code (Password Protected)
This may be an interesting program...
http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/man.cgi?q...ster&sektion=8
I don't know if I'm right but, it has something to do with packing stuff...
Or its just a crap program named the same. ;D

Re: Flyff Source Code (Password Protected)
Password could be something personal that only Xahgo might know. If he had to upload the archive many times to assembla.com, then it would make sense for the password to be short and simple.

Re: Flyff Source Code (Password Protected)
Imaginarum i think has the source code for the latest version, version 15
i saw some german forums posting fixed worldservers and files
and besides if you hex it, it was not compiled by aeonsoft
just sharing my idea :D

Re: Flyff Source Code (Password Protected)
The password might be encrypted or contains Korean symbols. It'll take a while to crack that. :c

And some has made contact and talked with him, but he blankly denies access to the password. He says it's "private". The reason Xahgo removed Neurospace.7z and possible his whole account from Assemblia is because the one who contacted him suggested to remove it as it is publicly downloadable, first result on google.
The only way Xahgo would ever tell the password, is if he defies Aeonsoft/Galalabs, but I do not think that he does since he have done freelance jobs for them.

And since he's worked with them they'd sue his ass off if he did for breach of contract.
