GEtting boxes to open

I've searched once about this and couldn't really find an answer to it, so I'll ask here again. When it comes to getting boxes to open, is it a problem in the database, or elsewhere? I'm not asking for someone to just throw the solution at me, but I would like to know about where to look at least. Thanks for any help I can get.

Thank you both for your replys, thats all I needed to know. I just didn't want to waste hours on end trying to fix the problem when I could be working on other things that are actually fixable. So you just saved me 10 hours of hell lol and i commend you both for that
