My internet is crashing ALOT the last few days..
And it takes forever to get it back up...
I'm sure someone is hacking me because i also got weird errors on my server..
So who the hell is hacking me and why?
My server is just a fun server.. i don't need 10000 players...
So why do people still see me as a enemy...?
Just tell me what i did and stop the lame hacking...
(this is for the guy who is hacking me. and i don't have an ip so.. i just wanna now who is hacking my server...)
try to report it to the internet provider from your server they will check it out
I don't think it's smart to ask them because private servers aren't really legal eh D:
Probably somebody pew-pewing your server/pc ;)
Get their IP, and add em to blacklist,

They're only illegal if the company reports your for hosting them. Else, your ISP can't do much about your pServer.

Mkay, but i don't have to ask my internet provider for the connections i think. I can just check them out.
But i checked all my connection like 4 times when it crashed but i can't find any ip that's causing it.
So I disconnected them one by one to test it but nothing happened.
My internet just crashed AGAIN like an hour ago..
I'm now typing this message while waiting for my internet go get back up.
I was just checking the connections in my modem while it crashed.. but again.. there was no ip that could cause the crashes T___T (internet is off for like 2 hours now T___T)

Rest your ISP... Im not certin, but doesn't that slow your ISP/Internet?

I don't download anything and i'm not that noob that i cant secure.
It's not DDoS because that's only lagging/crashing the webserver and it doesn't crash my whole internet connection.
My connection is pretty fast so it won't go offline with a stupid DDoS attack.
It has something to do with my modem.. I checked the ports but everything is closed exept for the web/server ports.
You ARE a noob. How about getting a new modem? The best way is still to contact your ISP, to see if the problem is caused by them. Do you have any other computers there? If you do, does their internet work properly?
I already knew that it had something to do with my modem..
I had a really old modem with a shitty firewall..
I bought a new modem with special server firewalls or whatever it is and now the crashes are fixed
many of you kids don't understand but ISPs are your friend. You pay THEM for internet service and in return they make sure no one hacks your system or DDoS or whatever.
my advice is stop hosting your server on the same ISP as your home internet connection. should they find out you do this, they will charge you out the ass for web server hosting. Unless you have 1000+ dollars a month, I wouldn't do it. The rule of thumb is always get a dedi. If you can't afford one, don't host one. plain and simple.
Server/web hosting is allowed at my ISP.
I don't know if it's true that other ISP's don't allow it but my ISP told me that it's allowed.
And no i can't afford a dedi server so home hosting is the only option.
And since it's allowed and i got a safe modem again i think it should be fine right?
