    sad [HELP] Adding v16 Maps to v15 Effectively

    Hi all,
    I have been trying my best to update the map of v15 to v16 which includes the Elliun and Bahara. But I can't get it all to work. I always get an error on the world server and the client itself.
    I hope someone can guide me how to put the v16 maps to the v15 Client/Resource.
    I followed some guide but no luck.

    By updating the world,s you need to likewise update the data files.

    Can you guide me through it?
    Like what files i should get from other client and what files to edit on my files.
    I just want to add the elliun and bahara with their coresponding NPC and MOBs.

    Really?.. read the data files and check what they do, or what they add, this is really one of the most common things to do, so please, first try. BY READING the data files.. all of them and understand them.

    I have read all the resource files and as far as I can understand, these are the files needed to edit and what they do... (correct me if I am wrong and if I missed something)
    defineWorld.h - This is where I should define the maps to be added.
    ContinentDef.h - I guess this is where the continent be defined.
    world.inc - This is where the maps folder be defined.
    world.txt.txt - This is where the maps name be defined.
    terrain.inc - This is where all the terrain models of the maps being used.
    EnvironmentEffect.txt / EnvironmentEffect.txt.txt - I guess this is used for the seasons change of the maps. (I dunno why this is needed anyway but I included it. got it from blessed files)
    mdlObj.inc - This i think is where the models of the maps being defined. (I found out I need to edit this also. )
    mdlDyna.inc - I am not quite sure what this do, kinda the same with mdlObj.inc but I see item models and others being defined here. (please enlighten me about this.)
    defineObj.h - This I think is where I should define the object/models/terrains used by the map being added. And I think this does connect with the content of mdlObj.inc and mdlDyna.inc.

    If I missed something, please enlighten me.

    I tried to add only the Kaillun, Bahara, and included the Upresia, Herneos and Sanpres at the same time. But I cant get it to work. My worldserver.exe always crash. Even though I manage to eliminate all errors given in the error log, it crash and give no more error.

    I know doubt that I am missing something. So my question now is these:

    * If I add a certain map, for example Kaillun and Bahara, do I need to also add the monsters and NPC on that map so It will work completely?
    * Do I also need to add the Items related to the monster drops of those monsters in the added map?



    I am now frustrated not able to do this right. I don't know anyone who could help me with this head on.
    I hope you help me guys. I searched and search for guides or thread related to adding maps, but still can get it right.
    I will still play around with the resource and see if I could find the right way of doing it, but I hope someone will still help me.

    Use winmerge to compare your files with the v19 data files. That way you find out where you got things wrong easily.

    Also, EnvironmentalEffect only needs in serversided.
