How to edit the background of a patcher.

First download the ResHacker, and the iFly patcher.
None of them contain a virus, or a backdoor.

Then, Unpack the ResHacker to your desktop. Do the same for the 'iFly Patcher'.
Now, open up the ResHacker.exe. A screen will pop up, and drag the iFly patcher or Fame patcher or iFlyff patcher.

A few maps will appear, for example 'IMAGE', 'bitmap' and 'cursor'.

Now, if you want to change the background of your patcher... simply open up 'IMAGE', and in the image map, there's a map called **** in that map is the background, 1033. In the other map there is the option background.
Now to change the background of your patcher, right-click the background. And choose replace.
-Now for this I can advise you to have a background ready, or for a test. That is the same size as the real background, saved with any name except IMAGE, 104 or 1033.
So save it like PatchBG test.(JPG) Jpg works best for me, GIF doesn't work neither does BMP. As far as I have seen it gives a string code, and makes your background non-existing.-

So now, you should've found the background, and managed to tell it to replace it. Now find the background picture.
Then you'll get a screen that says 'open file with resource'. Click that, find your Patcher's background. . .

    Then you'll get this:

    Resource type:

    Resource name:

    Resource language:

THIS WILL NOT WORK WITH A BMP FILE!

    Fill it in like this:

    Resource type:
    IMAGE
    Resource name:
    104
    Resource Language:
    1033

    There, and now press 'replace'.

And done, there now we know how to change the background.

So simply for the buttons, find the map called 'Bitmap'.
For this, we're going to take the first button. 'OK'.
It's in the map 185, and file 1036.
So once you located it, there are two simple ways to replace it,
    Right-click 1036, and replace source.
Then you can select a .exe file of some kind. Or a .bmp file.
so # NOTICE IF YOU ONLY HAVE A DRAWING OF THE BUTTON REPLACE IT BY A .BMP FILE! ANY OTHER FILES EXCEPT .BMP or .EXE WONT WORK! #
    * you could use .dll, or .res.. but bmp and exe are easier. *
So we'll select a .exe file..
For this we'll take the eFlyff's patcher and there we'll find the buttons. We can select which button we want to use,
once we've chosen the button we're going to replace the old button with, press replace.

You can do the same with a .bmp file. The only thing which is different you don't have to find the button you want to replace it with, you just get the file with the button design. And done.

So that was my tutorial, might add pictures later on.
Also remember to download the 'Resource hacker', iFly patcher isn't needed, you can use fame patcher, iflyff patcher or musaraflyff patcher. Either of those will work, maybe monsterflyff too. Don't know,

So yea, have fun, give me feedback on what you think about this guide.
I made this guide because I struggled with it, and didn't know how. Well I found out, and I thought let's help the people that are starting with a server, and trying hard to edit a patcher but don't know how.

So I got one last request do not flame! :3

    Greetings, Dylan.
