The biggest arguement made is the fact that they:
A) Can not be developped....

I have never agreed with this EVER. There wouldn't BE a RZ without things stolen and released here....Blizzard doesn't want Mangos packet sniffing and writting code to emulate their servers...Same as all the other companies that do noit want the same thing....

I have never agreed with removal of Rev 1..they are safe and leech ready....why not let the leechers have something to play around with...I would know NOTHING about MySQL if it wasn't for Rev 1....I learn alot and it moved me towards bigger and better things....
I must admit I am overjoyed at the progress Rhisis has made....it is amazing.....and for those that sit back and say they are slow...it's easy to point fingers while you do nothing...if you can do better go right ahead...
And Glaphan....I have always respected you even though we do not see eye to eye on this....but who cares they are only beta test released without permission...they work and they are stable enough for people to enjoy....there have been servers running for nearly a year now with these "incomplete" files....
Who are we to say what the public should get.....as stated before...MU started with only binaries and now expands daily...

I'd say that this thread doesn't really count, as it's more of a discussion of the rule pertaining to the Caali ban, not Caali's files itself. You don't see a guide, tutorial, help request, or download links here.

if people want to debate on it, let em. Yes caali and I both agree that the leaked files jump started the community. There wasn't a whole lot of buzz until the files came about. Now its bigger than ever and the once leechers are now being shown its true potential and are now supporting other works because they have infinite potential.
If caali files can be hacked and added on to then by all means do it. However until the rest of the community can catch up to asm programming (and there are a few around here), I doubt it will happen. The ones that know how to program in ASM will refuse because its difficult to program that way.
injecting DLL and pushing them is all well and good, but it lacks true programming power. To control the program you must have the source. hacking it and splicing it with DLL files all over the place will only slow it down, and don't quote me on this as I don't know jack about ASM, just from a programmer's point of view.
With that. This thread will remain open because this is the ONLY thread to speak about it and vent opinions on the matter.

Monolith i completely agree withyou, whether its a rip from some dude who's better than us or not is entirely irrelevant i have seen it done to people before and its normal. Glaphan earlier on you said as a moderator you see both sides of the argument yet the files have already been released and your still taking caali's side? He feels no remorse for ASM and reversing official FlyFF but when his bugged files are released(leaked) he starts sulking? And his excuse for not releasing open source serverfiles is that there are way to many leachers? WTF no wonder there are only 5 or 6 good servers! How do you expect a devving community to survive when you are taking away the neccesseties? I mean (i think) you guys got the main idea of files and how they work from them. Hell, i applaud whoever leaked them because i think he knew that we didnt need a completed set of files (as it would leave no space for other devs). How can you take the files down when you were feeding your knowledge off of them.
Files like Caali's come once in a lifetime.

Do NOT make threats like that. I'd expect this from Deadly, but not from small timers like you. You better watch how you talk. Joke or not, hacking is a serious threat and I can have you removed for it.
And for the record, your threat is scriptkiddy at best. Routers today have failsafes and unless you know how tunnel around it, it won't work. The worst you can do is probably DDoS and even that is amateurish at best.
Just enough. Because the both of you have the same IP and he gets banned the same day you join raises suspicion among the people. Don't worry about it.
We can trade threats all day but the bottom line is, knock it off. Everyone.
FYI, rhisis and osa are almost identical to the first leak, so think of the two projects as being the first leak's open source. damn it, people complain so much nowadays... give 'em your finger and they'll take the whole hand :@
