Leaching offical files (my reason)

Okay so here it is. I respect most of the developers in the flyff community. Which is my i won't leach the things they developed without permission 90% of the time. The reason why i couldn't give two shits about leaching official files is because Aeonsoft and Galanet are the most incompetent MMO owners i have ever come across. I have used before to sniff packets for the emulator i was going to develop. In the end i didn't have enough time to develop it. I finish college for a year after this week then i may be able to start again. Anyway back to Aeonsoft/Gala: If its not about the money its leaving there files open for everyone to use. I have no respect for owners that don't respect their developers by doing this. They have no respect for the players only the money. Come to think of it the last comment is like a lot of private servers. Pisses me off.

True. But then they'd either just take advantage of the moneymaking aspect of it even more than currently, or they'd make it into a completely different game in our eyes, potentially worse.

rumor is that v16 is the last version of flyff that will be developed by Aeonsoft then they are planning to hand development to the Chinese

not the most credible rumor but I could see it happening for better or worse

I don't know what to think of that if it happens to be true. I mean cFlyFF is awesome and all and it may end up like that, but cFlyFF is also like.. i dunno, I find it OTT in a lot of ways tbh. ;x

That doesn't really surprise me. I meant I'd be mad if all the Cflyff-like content was CS only. Of course they're still gonna market some of it, that's how f2ps make money.

Maybe the Chinese will actually manage the server with a brain instead of a hungry wallet.

I'm sure they can, even the gameplay is smoother and doesn't lag at all, hopefully they can change eflyffs client to be less laggy like it should be.

v16, eFlyff, cFlyff.. Everything is made for profit. It is the key to everything.

IMHO, the only "proper" way is not to split the development in over 9000 different server projects and to create ONE. Stable and modular, like eAthena. Dont care about leechers - write code for community, for yourself, for t3h justice.
