    MSSQL Trouble

    Hi, a couple of days ago my MSSQL was working fine, because I was building a website in PHP and in order to display things from a database, the database obviously has to work. But I recently went to my webserver, where I preview my PHP sites and noticed all PHP errors.

    I went to the database to look at what was going on, because on the first error, it said it was failing to use ACCOUNT_DBF;

    I opened MSSQL and got this error: Screenshot by Lightshot

    Note, I did not change a thing, it just randomly changed. I dont have a clue what has happend, help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    wait, u removed your website to your webhoster? what about the mssql db? its still on your pc? because then u must allow remote access and configure the connection script by replacing your PC name with the ip of your pc.

    No. That is not the case at all. I'm previewing my website using my localhost, .aka. web-server. Sorry if I confused you. The DB is on my PC.

    I've already got this problem before and some of my mates as well. Only thing I do is remove it and install again, that works for me and to my friends. That's the only thing I know to solve that, and 100% works for me.

    -> click Start (or the Vistaorb if running Vista/7/8)
    -> Enter "Services"
    -> Press Enter
    -> A window Should open listing all your open services
    -> Check if the following service is running "SQL Server (SQLEXPRESS)"
    -> if not Start it
    -> if its running try connecting to ".\SQLEXPRESS"

    If that doesnt help or you need more instructions, just post.

    Only thing I can think of is your MSSQL installation got corrupted or something. Reinstall is the only option. (The databases won't need to be remade. Just reattached after the install.)

    I'll give it a go, but the SQL had been running swimmingly for about 4 weeks, so surely something could have happend during those 4 weeks if it was corrupted.

    Edit: Re-installed it but nothing has happend, still the same error:

    Hm, well that's not the issue then.

    Do you have any random problems with other programs? Anything at all?
