My buddy cant connect to me.

I am hosting the game ports are ALL open, ppl on my own LAN(in my house) can connect to the game and play with me[nuez with my internal ip, like my ip on the router "192.168.1.17]"and they play fine. I gave the client to my buddy and changed the nuez.ini to my ISP ip and used res hacker on the nuezunique file to change it there to. He ran the nuez but when he trys to connect to the game it said, "Cannot connect to the game. Please check the network." Dose any know how to get around this or if im doing something wrong.


What files do i leave the ip 127.0.0.1 and change to my ip, the only 1 ive changed so far was "account server"

I mean account server should be my WAN ip and change the login server Cache to the same right? its the only thing that makes sence to me.

liginserver.ini:

Accountserver.ini:
AddTail( -1, 1, "Mid-Night", "WAN IP,from ISP", 0, 1, 0 );

leave 127.0.0.1 in all as you say.
but in the 3 places you say, put the ip you get from here

oh yeah ive got all them 3 places changed for some reason it isnt working. its wierd, but Thx for helping Cait yur aswome, yu helped me yester day too. There are not many ppl like yu anymore there all greedy.

You only get the problem when try make it public?
Do it work great when "closed" ?

Can you connect to the server when its public?

yeah when it is on my internal ip (192.168.1.17) or Loopback (127.0.0.1) I can connect fine (also on another machine in the house). If I change it to the external ip then no one can connect at all. I am changing the neuz and neuz ini's also.

Hmm.. Ports can make trouble.
I guess you sure you use the right IP on clients.
Make sure you allow it in windows firewall?
What error do you get and when, when connecting?

I think its something to do with windows 7 64x, I guses other ppl have had problems hosting anything on 64x windows.
