Hi all people. Some days ago I made a simple tool that creates Patch Lists and Compresses file in GZIP.
I'm a newbie in writing apps and it's my first release so i hope it's not too buggy and will be useful for you.
It's written in C (so no NET Framework required) and made to be fast and efficient.
Pros:
*Creates lists for Directories and Subdirectories (up to 256 Subdirectories atm) (so you won't have patcher errors for missing directories and you won't have to make them manually)
*Better compression compared to some other tools (TRY BY YOURSELF!)
Cons:
*Can take some time while compressing large amount of data (because of the high compression ratio)
*No GUI (console + simple configuration file)
*Nothing of interesting prompted while running :P, so it seems to block while compressing, but if you check your cpu usage you realize it's going on. It never failed me yet.
USAGE: Put all the files in NeuroSpace\RESCLIENT, set the config file as you want, and run the tool. Simple as that. It will create the list in that folder and compress all the files at the max. All the files will be replaced with the compressed version.
It comes with a little configuration file, that shows some options.
the "patchver" is the version of the client patcher (that is written in the list as a "ver: xx") that you can change how you wantCode:patchver: 21 makelist: 1 compress: 1
with "makelist" and "compress" you can select if you want both file list creation AND compression, or simply one of the two. Values of 0 and below means OFF, 1 and up ON.
Please let me know if there are bugs or incorrect things.
If it's good maybe i will add an option to upload the files trough FTP.
Thanks and sorry for the bad english
Thanks to: ex osaflyff team, because i started learning c-likes with their emu, the gzip team because it makes the biggest part of the job xD, and my loved Arianna.
You can download it HERE or HERE.
