People have started questioning the direction this place is heading. I have to say that given the recent goings-ons that things are slow but that does not mean they are non existent.
Develop what you want, how you want, and for whomever you want. The community before the first server files was very well oiled. Everyone had the same goal which was to get a working server emulator. We heard reports of the source code being out there somewhere but that was years ago. Only until recently did it surface.
You can reshape the game entirely or in ways you see fit. Nobody cares about server wars around here but some people just to do not get the memo. Personally, I don't mind the high rates as long as they are not astronomical or what have you. People like many variety these days. Official, low, mid, high, instants, funservers, it doesn't matter. The amount of diversity is pretty well balanced around the flyff community. Since the source people have been struggling to get exclusive content and systems. That is good. You should make a hack and slash game feel more like an MMO instead of a grindfest.
The days of me starting and finishing projects may be coming to a close with the recent changes in my personal life and professional, but it doesn't mean I will never lend and ear or skill if one needs it.
You need to stop bashing each other and start working with one another on getting things done around here. I pop in from time to time to see what everyone is working on. I don't even play the game much anymore with all my focus being on SC2 and Cataclysm, not to mention my two personal indie projects I have been working on.
Those who want to develop using the source have my full support. I may not be able to help with every little problem but I will be able to help out here and there.
You can say what you want about me, I really don't care. I am the cornerstone of this section just like a few choice others. I still regard this place as a second home sometimes.
So please, respect others, mods (don't care how you feel about them), and other people's work.
All these mods are doing fine work around here considering what they are up against. I may not know all of them personally, but that doesn't mean I agree with them all the time. I have my faults as do they.
Some of you were so hung up on getting me out of the way that you didn't think about your next move. Kissing ass gets you nowhere, ever. Your skills and talent alone is all you need to prove yourselves in this world.
I want to see you people start workin with what you have available around here. I was thinking of getting a host for all your projects if you don't like getting ridiculed or if you think it doesn't fall under the rules of RZ. Its just an idea but with the right people it could be a reality.
Anyway, don't refrain from releasing your hard work. It makes you look smart, cool, and shows you know your shit. Holding back hurts yourself, and others which I don't think you want to do, right?
