    NPC Part Ripping Problem

So .. i tried to Rip a part of an NPC (Hair) and make it as a Custom Cap ..

The Problem is .. when I put it in the o3d converter .. it became something wierd and when I save it .. it gives only 4kb of File and when I over-write something from my flyff Model folder .. CS Viewer shows nothing ..

    a lil help?

    Pictures:

Blender 3d (with the Ripped part and deleted every part that I doesnt want to have.)

Note: I just deleted them and ddn't do anything more.

O3d Converter (where it showed wierdiness)

Please Help .. and Thanks :))

Try exporting it with no texture, you can see if the 3d mesh is correctly interpreted then.

Please do that and show us how it looks with no texture

yes your problem is the material open in c4d and delete the material from the mesh.

yes i just tried with blender and it always exports material even if you delete it from the mesh. also found out a problem with blender if you use 2.49 and try 2.5 it erases all your unsaved data on 2.49...

    - Save the Model as an .obj file.
    - Convert your Texture to .dds
    - Open both .obj and .dds in the 3d converter and export the .o3d

    voila

doesn't it have to be .ase to convert to o3d

    Nope, o3d converter uses obj->o3d o3d->obj.

I guess you thought about "Cola".

sorry, for being a noob .. this is my first time to rip something in an NPC .. :/

so, I deleted the Material .. that means I deleted the texture of it but it retains it's UV Map right?

so, save the obj > open in o3dconverter > load dds > save o3d?

Try to follow me (I'm newbie too , hahaha)

    1. use 3ds max export your "mesh" to .ase
    2. open .ase by Cola and save to .o3d
    3. use o3d convertor to convert .o3d to .obj
    4. use C4d to edit your mesh position and export to .obj
    5. open .obj in o3d convertor and load Texture , animate , load reference ,add bone and save to .o3d

    sorry foy bad English.
