Pserver Guide // Setup

Hello all,

i have a lil question about some old pserver setups and new pserver setups


first : in v6, v11 , v12 ppls using
MySQL & NaviCat

With :
1. login_server.ini
2. char_server.ini
3. world_server.ini

This Guide



Right now : in v11,12,14,15,16,17,18 and 19 etc.
SQL server & Management Studio 2005, 2008 or 2010

With :
1. AccountServer
2. DatabaseServer
3. CoreServer
4. Certifier
5. LoginServer
6. CacheServer
7. WorldServer

Can someone tell me WHY we don't use the old setup?

The old setup was a flyff emulation server. You didn't have much customization with it. With the server files and source we are now able to change and add many more things than we were able to then.

Anyone here has the files beetween v6 ~ v12 ? Because all the links are dead now.
OT:
I think it's easier to host a server without a emulation server.

I can help you forward. If you are a pserver beginner and don't know about sources. You should learn how a flyff source works. ( I'm still learning). Download v15 clean source + resource and a client. And try to search for guides on how to compile. If you have any problem, leave a comment
