    PvP System - Pet Filter & More

    Intro
    I'm going to give you guys a break, here is some cool little things for you to play with.

    I've done things in this community, most don't know, but hey, I'm Silent. :]

    Enjoy the full required source. I won't give a guide, you have to do something on your on don't you? Oh btw, these were coded months ago, may need to be tweaked a bit, or updated, its not sloppy or poorly coded but all code can be continually updated and more efficient.

    PS: Some random try and catch statements in the DPSrvr.cpp, I got bored, copied some source, played around a bit. Whatever is there is yours to play with, just sayin.

    Note: I will slowly update and upload sources I have. Enjoy them, its free.

    v11 Hooks (Stable) - with some help with deadly, but coded this myself. This was made wayyyyyy before server source was release, and this is how deadly and me, added in our own shit. Like his pvp system sometime ago. :]

    Systems:
    PvP:
    Feautres:

    • Spawns are designated by the map creator by creating revival points and naming them pvp# - So example, if max spawns is 3, you need 3 revival points on the map named pvp1 pvp2 pvp3.
    • Scoreboard - Multiple Stats
    • Killing Sprees w/ Sound Effects
    • Player Recovery
    • Dynamic Spawns
    • etc, everything needed? I'm lazy, figure it out.

    User.cpp & h - Player Struct Updated

    Mover.cpp - Player Checks
    MoverAttack.cpp - PvP Target Enable
    Client Side:
    PvPMsg.cpp & h - Client Message System - Like event notices
    WndWorld.cpp - Renders scoreboard and etc needed effects
    Neuz.cpp - Renders PvP Client Messages
    DPClient.cpp - Handles new PvP Packets

    I could go on a rampage whining that considered good stuff just got released but well, seeing that so many people fail epicly to compile the source even when following a very detailed guide, I'm not that worried.

    I find it surprising no1 has made a guide on how to compile the source yet :x but its a good thing :D

    So very true, this was to help those people who are skilled but still lack the developing skills.

    there are many guides around to compile the source. I've seen at least 3 different ones. If you are talking about dumbed down versions of guides then no, there are none.

    here is one:

    open all.sln, add the directX references (maybe boost I don't remember), click compile. Works every time.

    I commend silent for this release mainly for the hooks. I remember talking with DD when he was working on them but I lost track of the development.

    Yea, me and deadly loved to hook, everything got boring when the source came out. =[

    I tried to get this in my source got a matching mover.h to this? that's what is giving me the most errors mostly with the pk system

    There are also some sneaky errors with the petfilter you implented (just commented the petfilter stuff out currently) but the only problem I got with the mover.h you've given us is the following:

    Btw. There is a "telacore.h" missing which is pulling out a big load of errors.

    yeah its in the development section so that does make it a community development :3 if we get it working i suggest put the files in the folder needed to go like the pet filter that is sort of fails i found XD

    I fixed a lot errors rewritting some parts. I got WorldServer running perfect, but I got 3 errors in Neuz caused by g_pPvp. I changed g_pPvp = new... for PvPInfo* g_pPvp = new... and defined that in Functextcmd.cpp and WndWorld.cpp.

    But I still got this errors left.

    Its all working. You just need to integrate it into your working source. Work slowly so you can minimize mistakes.

    I'm a fan of the v11 hooks. Do you know if they conflict with the newer versions?

    The memory addresses that the v11 hooks use are probably outdated since way back.
    Find the new ones and you should be able to make it work again.

    I'm getting some bugs with the PvP System.

    1.- The only score that works is the Personal Score, the rest are blank.
    2.- Sometimes the event bugs the WorldServer and I have to restart it for fix, due other people can't connect. Getting error in logs (PvP System Crashed...restarting.)

    I'm not sure if I'm the onlyone getting this problems, just wondering.

    I'm getting the same results as you, but I probably don't have it tweaked right.

    I've only tested it on a small scale like with 5 or 6 people.
