I have major respect for fame given its history and I don't envy shouldering all that responsibility.

I had a new idea for this project. Instead of it being Madrigal destroyed, I thought I would make it a giant ass quest that you need to activate via a new NPC somewhere.
I figured that would put some more excitement in the game that a chain quest would actually exist that actually did something.
I'm working on 8 suits (or more depending on the new version) and weapons as rewards for completing the quest.
These would be one of a kind but not soul linked. Also should the player complete the quest and not be a master or hero, then it might promote them to it automatically.
So if you hate the old, get this get that quest of the volcane, then this would be a great change.
I can't model 3D for shit but I can post some concept art and see if anyone has the skill to make them.

So I've been playing around with the landscape code and turning most of the movers into objects. I'm leaning towards redoing the game altogether.
I've converted a lot of the characters (i.e. npc's, player models, and mobs) to other formats. I've imported them into XNA which was not very hard mind you.
I need to figure out how to extract the bones and animations and combine them with the model files I made.
If anyone has been able to edit or extract the ani or chr file structure, do let me know.
do tell because the source code is utter shit when trying to understand how they are loaded.
Aeonsoft really is working with very outdated software.
Come on people, this isn't 2001. We have DirectX 11. DX 7-9 is way outdated as there have been great strides in shaders, mapping and such.
It's like instead of going in a straight line from a to b, they use an arc the size of the the St. Louis Arch.

I like where this is going. I've got a few suggestions for the classes if you're interested.
Avatarian just sounds weird to me. What about something like Warlock or Conjurer? Something magic related that sounds dark and ominous :P
I also had a suggestion for the final class. You could do something like Fighter -> Rogue -> Asassin or maybe something like Grunt -> Barbarian -> Berzerker
