Server owners: Do you pay your staff?

Coders, map developers, 2D developers and 3D developers deserve to get paid too.

Depends on the kind of work they are doing. I payed Forum Mods and GM's donation points. If my server had the kind of money to pay admins and developers then I surely would have. Gives them an incentive. If a worker only has the incentive for the love of his job, he/she will eventually lose that love for the job over time. Just pay all of your staff something at least. Also, if you put there will be payment when opening applications for a type of job, more people will apply. This does not necessarily mean better people apply but more, I am certain.

See , I got some coders free but it's like they either run when I ask for something or block me on msn. :thumbdown:

Imo GM's do not have to be paid, I think every (useful) developer does.

Yah, since its really difficult,

you need ALOT of creativity and imagination
and skill editing, thats not easy.

And i agree that they MUST be paid, uneless they dont want.

if i was a server owner, i'm only gonna pay devs not gm ^.^

I always pay staff and i always expect to be payed

if my servers got more popular and people started to donate or buy premium shop cash then i would split everything i got equally between all of my staff each month

When i had my server i never paid to staff.. (not like i earned anything..)
But i once got shitload of donor points on some server cause i designed their own theme.. took me a week..

How much does top flyff private servers make a month?

I have minecraft private server i make 100-200$ a month then 50$ for vps.
Then pay my staff probly 50$ depends how much we get each month.

but my flyff one is not sucessfull as my minecraft server.

Top flyff servers make all the way up from $2k to $5k.
Or at least they used to.
