Me: I honestly can't do shit about the source being released. Only supervisors and above can ban the files and only if galalabs tells MentaL to take it off else he gets sued or whatever. If it was me then I wouldn't allow any official files here in the first place.

What I don't get is why you guys get all bitchy about it. You hardly ever show off development projects, you hardly release anything, and you hardly help anyone in the help section. So what's the problem? If it's gonna kill the section then sit back and watch the fireworks like some of us already do. Maybe if your like aries over here you could take it and release some nice shit instead of complaining about it.

Who deletes the one billion help threads in the wrong sections? You or me? One billion help threads mean more work for mods and those who post in the help section.

It would've been better to keep it on msn instead. That way only the people who can actually use it have it. Personally, I don't like the idea that people who don't even know C++ now have access to the source code of a corporate video game.

I honestly don't really care that it's released. Even if this does become and issue and they go out and sue private servers and crap, i don't really care much. I'm only playing private servers for the fun of it,. I could go back to playing on eFlyff any day, as long as my friends came with me

1. NERGASM OMG OMG OMG SOURCE RELEASED LITTLE GIRL SCREAM.
2. We are all fucked. Exploits are now visible.

Hopefully development for creation will exceed development for destruction.

I am really happy though, in all honesty.

Anyone with the knowledge to hack or even program has already had the source. And there's been no outrageous hacks made yet. I doubt there will be. FlyFF isn't even worth it anymore. Hacks have been done a million times. Hell, take DD and TDx raiding eFail. Those were some funny ass days. I remember the "THIS IS SPARTA" messages and still have screens somewhere.

I actually agree on this. I remember when that happened too on Lawolf, but if I remember correctly, they had direct access to the boxes and already knew the passwords of administrators/gms.

Yannik has been making packet editors though which cause crashes to the servers though. So does that mean he isn't really going to touch the source?

In any case, we can never be too safe.

First I would say that if they got released, I'm sure it's the crappy version. Alot of people go around with a in-complete source. But then again, setting up the source to actually just compile is already making it "Anti-leech". Plus developing = nononononononono.

I don't think we should overeact. It can't be that bad. I think the only reason some people around here are crazy about it, is because they paid 400$ for the source and then it's getting released.

Also I think IF it gets released, then it'll be anti-leech (Some files aren't working) which most smart sellers of the source put in to prevent people from stealing it.
