[Source] Database Threads

I am trying to increase the Threads/Connections from the Database Server to the Database to increase the speed of my server's query's, i have looked over the database server source code and honestly can not find it anywhere, if anyone can give me a pointer as in what file to look or even a statement of what it is in the file i am actually looking for it would be highly appreciated
