make up your damn minds people. After we let you have the rev 1 files again, now you are asking for them to be removed?

these files are not a light switch.

Sure it's a good idea to ban them but on the other hand it's not...

Ban them and people post help threads about them not following the rules creating more and more spam so it's easier to just keep them controlled.

Well if everyone post help/guides/stuff for caali files, us who develope just make another forum for specifically just the dev-project, Rhisis have an own forum, aswell as osAFlyFF, nothing but Caalis stuff will be posted on this forum anymore.....
Moderators should view here more, and if caali files are banned, they should simple just delete the caali posts.. It's as simple as that, I read ragezone around 15 times a day, moderators can't completely be doing other things, I mean theres more than one per section?

Thing is only the real developers will be developing for the actual osaFlyff things and Dflyff it keeps the one caali post a day keeps the nubs away....

Nah but really if they were controlled then you have more developers focused on your files and leave the leechers and idiots to their business.

No reason caali files should be banned. they are still possible to code ontop by hooking a .dll and using c++/asm

It is 3 times as hard to do anything, but just saying its possible.

Haha probably, but it would be a lost cause lol.
Yeah you can do some sniffing on caalis server, however, personal comment about that I think its a bad idea, because if caali made a packet wrong, then your server will also...
Is it a common problem ALL private server sources have problem with the inventory?
osaFlyff, Dragonflyff, Rhisis ... everyone have some kind of bug in the inventory.. For example, that could be because you sniffed caalis files and not eflyff/fame.
For me, I would not sniff caalis files, however, I do not sniff packets at all, I'm only good at making the other parts except figuring out packets...

The inventory problem is a missunderstood of the logic behind it, not the packets.
We know how the packets works but we miss how some data is generated, we tried sniffing at eFlyFF, the packet is the same.

I've noticed that as well =/

And like I said in the thread I made with the ban poll, people may come here to learn how to make a pserver but instead find caali's files and just don't give a fuck about any others. As is the way it is with basically everyone new now...

So without them here in the first place you'll get new people coming and see'ing they too can do something to help the server and may pick up some kind of coding language. So in turn you move away from the "oh theres already some working files I don't need to help the open source files" attitude and move to the, I can help someone do something attitude.

With as much time as some of the people in this game spend playing hours on end they can easily Google for some C++/C# tutorials. Even Frost has posted a bunch of movies (Anti-RTFM) and a few eBooks for them. And if those people can spend even part of the time on learning to code as they do to playing games then it shouldn't be to hard to learn some type of coding. Might not be to much but you can at least begin to help and maybe pick up on some things while doing so.

Not only would it be better for the community, but it could potentially be better for the people that decide to try and learn to code. You never know you may like it and end up going to school for it and making a career out of it. And / or even move on to making your own game.

    So in all,

keeping Caalis files = lazy community that won't move far. (As it is now, for the most part)
Getting rid of them = potentially bringing out some more devs or potential on the rise devs learning their way. Meaning better, faster developing. Maybe move into new maps, models, weapons, classes, skills, quests, pets (pick up), pets(familiar) , new CS clothes... everything!

Look at the MU Online community. It is extremely hard to code for, NO SOURCES. The GameServer is stolen from the webzen, and people still code ontop of ancient versions and make it support versions 5 years higher. 82% of the Mu Online community are leachers because to get a server running, not much work needed. But the other 18% are very talented coders.

Just because there are ready files doesn't mean the community is trash. I bet if caali files were well done and near complete, people would code on top of them instead of make new emulators.

He's not going to do it unless its like, 100% needed and like, yeah.

But yeah, I'm totally all for banning the caali files. It would for one, bring the community a lot closer together, since we'll all be helping eachother out a lot more by contributing, (Or in my case, supporting),and other things like that.
