Hello world :D
This is my 1st tuto I made for RageZone ......
Requirement:
-Flyff Ressource Manager (or Ressource Manager) ===> to decompilate picture from theme.res
-a Picture Editor Software (PFstudio, Gimp, CS3.....) ==> to do wanted modification
-Some time and some imagination ;)
SO let's go ^^'
The first thing(matter) to be made, is to dump pics that we go modified later.
-Open RessourceManager, and extracte in a new folder, all pics contain in
C:\Program Files\Gpotato\Flyff\Theme\Default\Default.res
Now we want editing pics,.....(so for exemple i'll show you with Inventory Wnd)
This one===> -WndInventory3D.tga
So open it with an "PicsEditorSoft" (PFstudio for me)
and do what you want on it
now ATTENTION !! you need to save this work with the same format (.tga = targa) BUT !! .....
Flyff .tga (or .bmp) or a lil special i think (nop really the indicated type)
So after some trying and test i can say:
a flyff .tga ====is==> a .png renommed into .tga ..(???,)
a flyff .bmp ====is==> a .bmp with invisible color !!
so, don't worry, just save the .tga in .png (Interlaced / No filter), then rename it into the folder on a .tga
Don't forget some pieces are invisible ! so don't cover it, and work with layer opacity ;) if u can
Then, you need to SAVE the ORIGINAL pics, before trying yours ;)
So EXTRACT just the WndInventory3D.tga (default.res) into a "save folder", then
REMOVE it from the .res file, and ADD the ModedPics we made.
Don't forget SAVE !! ;) and Close !! .....
Run PFlyff, and enjoye the work ^_^
(for .bmp , you just need save normaly, don't forget %opacity for transparence thing)
I hope the quick Tuto will help som1 :D

More details....
just modify the original design of the pic by a new one ....that's all ....
Get some design you like ex:
Get the pic you want edit (folow tuto) ex:
![]()
Open it in a PhotoSoft and make change on it...using Coloration, saturation, layer, ligne, gradient color, frame...all you want ;) ....
the "trick" is the format (type of file = .tga or .bmp) ....
So just a quick remember:
_______________________________________
1---Extract default.res from c:\prog...\flyff\theme\default\default.res to a new folder(use FlyffRessourceManager or something like that ;) )
2--- Search the pic you want edit into the new folder, and Open it with a Picture Editor Software (Photoshop, PFstudio, Paint, Gimp.....etc...etc....the one you want)
3--- Editing the picture like you want (color and lil logo)
4--- Save as .PNG for a xxx.tga (and then rename it manualy into folder on xxx.tga
Save as BMP for a Bmp (u can use transparency color)
5--- Insert the modified pic into the default.res (use FlyffRessourceManager[FRM] like 1st step)
6--- Save, Close FRM
7--- Lunch the Client and see the result ;) (or the crash lol !!!, if you have save into a bad type of file)
