How to upgrade a source to a newer visual studio version

Hi Guys,

what would you guys say, is a good way of updating a source, for example Visual Studio 2003 Version Source to a newer one? I'm just interested und would like to know how you guys operate if you do it.

Merge a clean v15/vs03 against my clean v15/vs19.

Then you will see all the differences and changes needed.
