    Visual Studio Windows7

    Can anyone help me getting Visual Studio 2003 on Windows 7? Every time I try and download it, it says not compatible. o-o

    If it's already downloaded, and your trying to install it, run it in Windows Xp Sp3 compatibility mode.

    lol I wouldn't no, I don't use Windows 7. There's probably something about it on Google on how to run applications in compatibility mode.

    right click -> properties -> Compatibility -> check the box ..
    choose which mode it will run for.

    I have Win7 x64 Ultimate. I had no problems installing it. You should make a practice of running every install as an administrator. and make sure you get service pack 1 when you do get it installed.

    Same x64 Win 7 Ultimate. MSVC 6 through 2010 installed, all work -- without any problem

    UAC, and new 'security features' - disabled.

    Start -> Control Panel -> 'User Accounts and Family Safety' -> System & Security -> 'Action Center CPL -> Change User Account Control Settings -> move slider all the way to bottom.
