Hey guys, how many digits do you think the key for private registrations should be? I was thinking 13 characters, I would like to do 32 so I can md5 it and make sure it isn't a repeated key but that's too long :(

Anything 8-13.

md5 hash it and make it check to see if the code is already in use. people will hand out the code and you have more people registered then planed.

Anyways, I have a ToS written up thats long as hell if you want it?

Well,php vana is a one developer cms,Jonathan quit a long time ago and Diamondo25 pretty much took his place.It still owns every odinms cms out there though,everything is pretty much in the database.

I've already made registration with keys before, but what I did is I made the generator insert keys into the sql table, and whenever keys were used that key would be deleted from the database. I wanna make it md5, but 32 characters is sort of long :/

Agreed, phpVana is the best CMS out there. I see only positive change to come out of Diamondo, his idea for the char display was sexy I think I might steal the idea hehe

Ajax is giving me a problem with the birthdays in register though :( I got everything working except I cant get the birth values cause its not an input :/ It worked on my old CMS but not this one idk why :'( :mind boggle:

CMS looks promising, I'd use it!
