Well I decided before I 'hit the hay' to check out the first one (z9) granted I don't have the client yet (for the surfaces, gfx, models, textures etc)...
In short order I got it to work, and I think it's a pretty cool map (even though I was running around lacking all the textures and whatnot)... Can't wait for the client :D

I can't really make out that error myself, although try using 'blank'/'empty' region.sev server side -- this map kept crashing for me until I swapped in my 'blank' region.sev ;)Quote:

Maps really aren't that difficult to work with. A few pointers (DO NOT ask for further help on these pointers plz):
~ When first working on/with a map set it as a WORLD instance (so that you don't get 'ported out' when first logging in {after placing yourself in your new map w/ pwAdmin})
~ Set yourself to 0, 0, 0, @ NWID and remember to (at first) NOT set ANY restrictions in gs.conf. LIMIT = allow-root; and THAT'S IT (for testing anyway)
Now -- what I REALLY can't wait for, is to learn how to make maps, on my own, from SCRATCH ! ~~ That would be super fucking awesome !!!!!!!
