Yeah Beastie some of us likes to know how we can update the client (MY-ENG) above 1.3.1 patch 13 so we can have territorial wars enabled, the distant-NPC-animation-chopper disabled and the space after the colon (:) in the chat. You would be loved much more if you could at least point us in the right direction. :wink: Still we thank you for a working server which is better than nothing / a not-working well server. :D:

problem enter demon world...
for my 1st character i decided to go with heaven. i did all the cultivation quests upto the point where it gets to pure immortal. the illusory then give a quest call cloudnet block to go into demon world to kill mobs and get 40 items, i tried get into demon world by the RED door in thousand stream city but only encountered a blue error msg saying unable to enter dungeon. i have the same problem enter HH as well
i have double-an -triple check the start up script and the gs is20 is started without error, gs is20 according to the script comment is suppose to be loading demon world. anyone got any sugesstion i should try/

i have resolved this issue. the original start script that came with this server is incorrect in naming is2o as demon world after much problem trying to enter demon world without success i just try loading all other isxxx that is not already loading. it turnout that demon world is is22. after loading that gs is22, i am now able to enter the devil domQuote:

there is another problem with this server pack. any character enter mist city will be stuck after entering the teleporter. it look normal after exiting the other end but the char can not move. only option is to recall to town or use teleport stone from cubi-shop to get out. i need a monster there for heaven cultivation 109 but i can not go in to kill the monster i am stuck at the inside entrance.
i tried it with serveral characters in two different accounts with same effect. stuck, cano move right on the spot after entering the blue or green teleport.

i hope u guys can help me, i using beastie's [Release] PW 136 Server files for use with MySql and install it in vmware and it worked perfect. Thankz alot beastie. But it lag when start with start_full.sh and start.sh. From now i using mini.sh (i made it myself to play). I use core 2 quad 2.40ghz and 3.25gb ddr2 ram and 1024gb ram for vmware 6
Can u guys help me? what should i do to play with start_full.sh?

i just wanted to say that i run this server files on Fedora Core 10 64 Bit and they are runing perfectly including the lampp and tomcat
u just need to install the latest java using yum install java and edit authd to edit the java path

i added them to database in usecashnow but its not there anymore
also there is a line in usecashlog about them
BUT they didnt get deducted the ammount i used in game
BUT if i go in game it shows me normal cubigold ammount i should have after purchaseing diferent things
so where the game store the cubigold information?
Initially the cubigold gets put in the usecashnow table until the PW server processes it (I believe once per account per day) then it dumps in the usecashlog table for log purposes. Once the cubigold transaction has been processed by the PW server it can't be edited or reversed without editing the actual game db (maybe iweb can do this?).Quote:

Im install server 1.3.6 to Mandriva 2009.0 in VirtualBox 2.2.4 with MySQL and Java Sun 1.6.0... then reconfigure IP, java environment etc and server runs perfectly with no errors in any logs.
From host machine server ping OK, port 29000 connect OK...
Client ver 1.4.0 dont see my server, client 1.3.4 can see my server but dont connect (time out error), client 1.3.1 say "Your end client's program edition Is out dated..."
What wrong? Client side problem or server side? Any idea?

I can't understand what you're trying to say. You might want to try translating directly from whatever language you use via Babelfish. Or just posting the original language.
However if it concerns TWs not functioning, I think that's due to the version of these server files. I don't think TWs function for them. If I'm not mistaken, these are files for somewhere between late closed beta and early open beta.
To enable TW make sure the following lines are uncommented in your startup script:

whats this about? im logged in as root placed all my folders in the right spots me thinks but um i try to browse to /usr/local/jakarta-tomcat-5.5.9/bin and then run ./startup.sh but i get permission denied. so yeah i dunno what the deal is i have read write access and im the owner .

so now I have beasties 136 folder inside it are some more folders ... pwserver, etc, lib, root, usr.
where do i put these files?
do I cd / and them to it? <--- this means my filesystem included among the folders in filesystem are folders that already are named usr,lib,root,etc.
do i add them to this filesystem and merge the folders with the exiting ones risking over writing a file.
or do I make a folder and run it from anywhere?

The files inside the folders /etc, /usr/ /lib /root go in those directories on your computer. The /pwserver folder goes in root I believe.Quote:

i know how to log in as root silly :-)
i used command sudo mv PWServer /root ,-- this moved the server files to /root
then i used
sudo rsync -a etc/ /etc/ <--- this copied the contents of etc and moved themn to my filesystem etc overwriting anything it needed to.
did the same for lib,and usr also added start.sh ,start_full.sh , stop.sh to /root.
but when i start start.sh from root ie.
root@server~# ./start.sh
the first thing it shows is
Iweb Starting
./start.sh 11 startup.sh no file or directoy or something similar.
so i stop the process , then I go to
/usr/local/jakarta-tomcat-5.5.9/bin
i try to run startup.sh <--- this supposedly starts iweb
but it returns this

so anyone got a fix for this?

the java bind address is in use is because you didnt kill java when you shutdown the server
try typing this in the terminal
pkill -9 java
you can add that to the begining of your start.sh file to kill java before it has a chance to bind again.
as for the webpages I am not sure my iweb was working but now i cant get jakarta to work :-(.
catalina not found is mostlikely due to it being written in dos. youre using ubuntu install tofrodos its a program that converts from dos to unix.
you can find it through synaptic package manager .
you can also add it to g edit. after it is installed.
in gedit go to edit, preferences, plugins
check external plugins then click configure.
in the new window look for the new button to create a new plugin.
name it fromdos and hit enter
then in the big window type in fromdos
in the input tab choose current document.
in the poutput tab choose replace current document.
then save and close
now you can access it in the tool menu of gedit
tools-external plugins -fromdos
open catalina.sh in gedit and then use fromdos on it, you may also have to do the same with setclasspath.sh, and im suprised you didnt have to do with with every text file in this package because i did :-)
Thanks, i'll test that jave thingy, for the file changing, i did it a little different, loaded all the .sh in vim then ":set ff=unix" save and close.

Installed all as described, changed all to 777, mysql start on "lampp start" is fine but in start_full.sh it says Permission denied.
No matter, i start lampp on my own but now i have another problem. There is something wrong with the java. Can sum1 help me with this please ?
I am pretty sure this release comes with java, have you tried to install your own, or 'update' ???
That is kinda what this looks like to me...
So if that may be the case my first recommendation would be
'nano /PWServer/authd/authd'
and make sure authd points to the proper java location ;)

I changed system back to Ubuntu 8.04 LTS now ( i have no other choice, its Strato server :/: ). Clean install. Copied all Files of that pack into it. All are set to 777. And guess what, it still fails. Now gauth doesnt start.

Maybe my problem is just simple, im renting windows servers. Im not new to linux, i just never used it for servers and never had to configure things on it on mah own. Always used the Drakes and all was good. So dont be too hard to me, everybody is doing something the first time and then asks stupid questions :wink:

copied the "userspecific" part of .profiles to /etc/bash.bashrc and now all runs fine. Changed all Files to 755 btw :wink:
Only thing is that the client now shows the server is in maintenance.
