A little bit too late for suggestions, they was discussed in the alpha test.
I exclude xml editor, cause most reasons for editing xml is changing the items of characters, so i make an item editor. I don't build in a task and skill editor, cause there was no request for that in alpha testing.
Using a login with username and password only makes sense if you have different rights for different users i.e. user X can start maps, but not start server, but it don't affect the security of login process itself. Security with a single key is the same as with username + password, if you want something like that compose your key of "LOGIN:PASSWORD" xD

Re: pwAdmin (iWeb) Final Release
Someone had success to use the (role configuration) page? Because for me it loads without end... and i never get any result >.<
Maybe a blank page... if a refresh the page too much :/:
And the (Server Configuration) page seem to have the same bug.
@ronny1982
I prefers to use my own work actually but your work looks better for the design and graphics... ^^'
Oh! and thx for the account management xD this is the most useful thing I like in your release :ott1: ^^
Re: pwAdmin (iWeb) Final Release
I also problem loading for role page and server configuration.

Two person in the same case than me... :/:
@kewtrewt
I have firefox too, but I don't have this bug o.O This release have several importants bugs, how can we call that a "final release" ? xD ......
@ronny1982
Suggestions:
- Fixes for the Role Configuration and Server Configuration page.
--> Reason: the page seem to load forever without display any results...
- Fixes for security!
--> Suggest: a MySQL authentication + SSL support for Tomcat (using the wanmei CA and keystore)
Why a CA that everyone can have freely on the forum?
- Because the CA is only used for having a the SSL support and secure the data transfert between your computer and the server.
- The real authentication for gm users is the MySQL server !
Good luck ronny! If I can do that, you can do it too! :thumbup:
Do not skimp your work, it is a good start but there is a lot of bugs to fix ^^

No sorry no more releases. I can't fix the role & character page bug, cause i don't get it (even with wrong configured config file) and Developement Tools don't show conflicts...

Make sure you set permissions of pwAdmin and subfolders to 755, except .pwconf.conf and .pwadminconf.jsp, these files are set to 644

Re: pwAdmin (iWeb) Final Release
Character & Server Configuration Problems
For those who got the "infinity load" bug on this tabs, you can help me solve it by filling the survey in this thread.
But first some words about that problem. It's not a bug in the webpages itself, it's a problem when the iWeb API function DeliveryDB try to connect to your PW Server. It seems that it failed to get the requested data through authd. But the DeliveryDB don't stop on failure, it repeats the request again and again cause of this the page can't be loaded...
Survey
- Is your .pwadminconf.jsp -> pw_server_path correct (i.e. pw_server_path="/root/PWServer/";)?
[ YES | NO | NOT SURE ]
- Are all IP addresses in the .pwconf.conf file correspondig to the IP addresses in your PW Server Services?
[ YES | NO | NOT SURE ]
- Have you started your PW Server with your own Startscript or by pwAdmin?
[ MY SCRIPT | PWADMIN | OTHER ]
- Have you installed multiple Java versions?
[ YES | NO | NOT SURE ]
- At least i need some files, please go to the apache-tomcat-5.5.28/work/ directory and delete all contents. Do the same for apache-tomcat-5.5.28/logs/. Start apache-tomcat and your PW Server. Open pwAdmin in your Browser and click the tabs that are not working. Now put the following files to an archiv and upload it for me please: apache-tomcat-5.5.28/logs/catalina.out and if possible YOUR-PW-STARTSCRIPT.sh and YOUR-PW-SERVER-PATH/authd/authd
[NO FILES | DOWNLOAD URL]
Example Survey:
1: Yes
2: Yes
3: My Script
4: No
5: http://mediafire.com/?xxxx.zip
----------------------------------------------------------------
I'm in vacation for next week, i'll post my startscript and my /authd/authd file, maybe it fix this error...
start.sh (authd part):
Code:
echo "=== AUTH ==="
cd /PWServer/authd/; ./authd >/PWServer/logs/auth.log &
sleep 2
echo "=== DONE! ==="
/PWServer/authd/authd*:
Code:
#!/bin/sh
java -cp lib/jio.jar:lib/application.jar:lib/commons-collections-3.1.jar:lib/commons-dbcp-1.2.1.jar:lib/mysql-connector-java-5.0.8-bin.jar:lib/commons-pool-1.2.jar:lib/commons-logging-1.0.4.jar:lib/log4j-1.2.9.jar:$CLASSPATH authd table.xml
sleep 2
done
* my table.xml is in /PWServer/authd/ instead of /etc/
* mysql connector version is mysql-connector-java-5.0.8-bin.jar located in the authd/lib/ directory
Re: pwAdmin (iWeb) Final Release
