Anyone has any success in the GFX issues?

When using 1.4 gfx.pck, it's working with the warsoul claws etc., but lost a lot of the effects of others, like Astral Melody.

But with 1.3 gfx, it crashes whenever we have the claw/other 1.4 items. I know Ronny pointed this out, and he does not have the time to work on the gfx yet.

I would start, if I know how.... I saw Romulan's post on chinese text problem in finding the right file. Using Google translation service is a long shoot, but it might worth a try.

I just wanted to know if there is any tutorial out there on working with gfx/models/surfaces files

Hello Ronny, I'm up against a problem .. The client is apparently okay, but when I go to log into the main world it closes the client, I know it's an easy question but what could it be?

Note: I am using PWI v.229, v.283 already used the and it worked properly.
If possible would like a way of turning into v229 v283, to create a patch

If this is the client you're using (PWi downgraded) your client is 1.3.6

All you should need to do to get it working would be to edit /PWServer/glinkd/gamesys.conf

change any lines that say

version = xxxxx

to say

version = 10306

I did the most to downgrade version remains the same.
PWI downloaded the 1.4.2 from the site, I used the patch more still in 1.4.2 version

PWI Client Downgrade Patch has now it's own project page, this makes it easier to keep the changes up-to-date

You'll need an extra downloader to checkout the files from the latest changeset

You must manual fix ECM and BON files (for each character)

v291 has a new help script.data file, this patch is aimed to v283 so this file is not included.

Replace the following file: Perfect World International\element\help\script.pck

with the script.data from PWI v283.

use the downloader provided in the documentation, direct downloads via codeplex don't work...

Here is my patch that fixes annoying deepest non-stop continued zoom in your elementclient.exe by gentle ru-off like. Think it will be useful.
