Re: [Guide] Perfect World Server 1.3.6 on Colinux Tutorial (with pictures)

Hate to be a broken record, but could someone please re-upload the server contents? Not the image, the actual files. Alot of us can't do anything because we can't get the correct content.

Thank you for your help and time. :)

    This doesn't work...
Working Server Contents (sofag 131 with 139 items) - http://files.filefront.com/Sofag+Con.../fileinfo.html
^ use if you can't fix the missing cache error. It is the server FILES, not image, so you have to know how to use the serv mount file to replace the files in the server with this.

hm sofag 1.3.6 tutorial looks short and easy to do so i guess i'll try that one
but one thing though for ip if i replace it to 127.0.0.1 would it still work?
i only have 3 gig ram max and i want to create a server to play alone (no internet / lan)

Re: [Guide] Perfect World Server 1.3.6 on Colinux Tutorial (with pictures)

For those who are having problems running the PWserver batch file here is how you get it to work:

If you are using this release you must rename the folder from pwserver to Sofag 1.3.6 (beta):

Right click your PWServer.bat and open in notepad, the contents inside should look like this:
    Code:
    cd ../
    colinux-daemon.exe -t nt @"Sofag 1.3.6 (beta)/PWServer.conf" fastboot nogui
To delete all characters from colinux:

    *From coLinux root*
    To clear characters:
    Code:
    cd /dbf/dbhomewdb/
    rm -r -f dbdata
    mkdir dbdata
    To clear the Names:
    Code:
    cd /export/uname/
    rm -r -f dbdata
    mkdir dbdata
And for those who need the Sofag's content folder you only need the Java folder and two files from the ETC folder (hosts and table.xml) from that release. Download it here:
    Code:
    http://www.megaupload.com/?d=06UMI9IR
Assuming that you have already performed the previous steps and have a fresh Sofag 1.3.6 (beta) server setup in Colinux. Extract the SofagRepack.rar you just downloaded and put all those files and a folder into your SERV folder.

Now run PWServer.bat in CoLinux and type in the following:
Replace hosts and table.xml with the New files
    *From root
    Code:
    rm -f /etc/hosts
    rm -f /etc/table.xml
    cp /serv/hosts /etc/
    cp /serv/table.xml /etc/
    Get the repacked Java folder
    *From root
    Code:
    rm -r -f /usr/java/
    mkdir /usr/java/
    cp -r /serv/usr/java/* /usr/java/
    Now for the edits.
    Edit the new Hosts file
    *From root
    Code:
    nano /etc/hosts
2 edits are to be made here, change "YOURIP".

    Edit the new Table.xml
    *From root
    Code:
    nano /etc/table.xml
1 Change here under MSSQL change SQL PASSWORD to your sql password

    Edit the Glinkd file
    *From root
    Code:
    nano /home/glinkd/gamesys.conf
3 changes here ONLY change ip 174.48.41.60 to your IP

    Done!

    Good Luck!!

Re: [Guide] Perfect World Server 1.3.6 on Colinux Tutorial (with pictures)

It's got to be infuriating writing a guide that good, and getting this many questions. After stumbling through many of the past tutorials, I think I'm finally ALMOST on to something...

I'm currently using the server files from this post:
    http://forum.ragezone.com/f452/serve...=perfect+world
(as they are the only working link I can currently locate)

Problem: coLinux doesn't run on xp64 bit?
Solution: install linux, I've read that the server is accustomed to fedora, but I'm accustomed to ubuntu

Problem: the guides I found all describe how to install on coLinux/Windows... So about the MSSQL?
Solution: A second computer... Too slow to run the server locally, but good enough for MSSQL

Problem: Many of the paths and IPs are wrong in the server config files?
Solution Go through them error by error and lfix paths and IPs, expecially concerning the SQL stuff.

Problem: the old java jdk included conflicts with packages on ubuntu 9.0?
Solution: change the java environment variables to use my current version of java.

So with all of that out of the way... I have a working MSSQL server on one box, default DB initialized as per instructions for loading the dump files. When I start the server VIA start.sh (which also needed extensive tweaks) there were finally no errors, everyone seemed happy and all daemons were running. So I'm very happy the hard part is done.... Or is it?

The final step to the guide says go to http://localhost/register/
So i get looking around.... oh yay, a windows binary of tomcat is in the /usr/local/ folder
After tweaking the heck out of the start.bat and the other one which i currently forget the name of, I can get tomcat to start and run and serve.... just doesnt work... I'm pretty sure it has to do with paths and IPs same as the bulk of the errors.

I'm extremely newb when it comes to a lamp style server and I dont even know where to find the config files... I thought since its based on apache the /conf/ folder would be a place to look, but was soon buried in a mass of files that didn't seem to control any of the things i wanted. For example in one of the guides it mentions editing /opt/lamp/../..././../././whatever/core.php and thats of no use, as the server files I have obtained (when be searched) contain no file named core.php.... oh joy.

So.... long story short... I think its running but I cant tell until i register and i cant register until someone can better explain how the web-server front-end works... Any quick hints on how to get this web server running on EITHER O/S would be greatly appreciated... Thanks in advance. PS: Sorry for long post

Lol, I still have the same problem I had months ago, which I was never able to fix. I can't register, the register page always showed up blank, I can ping the server, all I needed was a database file with an account registered on it.. so I can log in :( anyone want to help me out there? because figuring out why the registration paged stopped working was a dead end... just one database file with an account registered on it so I can log it would be a great deal of help, credentials can be whatever, I just want to playyyy
