Short Guide for Mounts { and Pets } (Very Basic)
So, I had a bunch of questions about mounts, and after searching a bit, getting a few answers here and there, and a lot of testing, this is what I found. Most of you probably already know this information, but as I haven't seen it posted anywhere else (with the searches I made), I figured it be ok to post my results. Again, this is just basic info, and might be helpful to some...
~EDIT~ I forgot to add, these are off of List [92] Pet's Hatched (using Ronny's sELedit)
1. Sounds
So, there are basically 5 sounds that a mount can make when it is running/walking.
These are located in sfx.pck in the following folder:
sfx>character>footstep
The files are:
Run -
landrunpetbear
landrunpetdinasaur
landrunpethorse
landrunpetpuma
landrunpetqilin
Walk -
landwalkpetbear
landwalkpetdinasaur
landwalkpethorse
landwalkpetpuma
landwalkpetqilin
So we have 5 choices with files for Run and Walk each. Line 8(sELedit by Ronny) is where we will enter the value for what sound we want the mount to make with the following values:
0 - Horse (Your basic clopping sound, same as any of the Horse Mounts)
1 - Bear (A muted clopping sound, same as Polar Bear Mount)
2 - Puma (A more lofty but muted clopping sound, same as Swift Panther)
3 - Dinosaur (Bi-pedal clopping, good for bi-ped mounts, same as Vicious Raptor Mount)
4 - Kirin (Kinda like the Puma sfx, but more bass, same as, you guessed it, the Kirin Mount) :P
2. Food
Line 40 (sELedit by Ronny) is where we can assign food type.
Base line is Pure Water, which has a value of 16.
Hay has a value of 1.
So, if we wanted to have a pet/mount that ate Hay and Pure Water only, then we would enter a value of 17.
Pure Water is always standard, I do not think it'll work if you just give a value of 1 for Hay only (was not tested) But if you want to give it a go, then by all means, please post your results here.
Other food values:
Meat - 2
Greens - 4
Fruit - 8
So, again, as an example, if you wanted a pet/mount that ate Pure Water, Fruit and Greens, you would enter a value of 28 on Line 40.
Hope this helps a few of you out there that had the same nagging questions I had. Enjoy and happy dev'ing!

1 for only hay is working.

Thanks Eistiger, I wasn't sure if only 1 would work, and I never got around to testing it, but now we know. :P
Also, I forgot to add about the sounds, I did try to add a new sound, and used a value of 5 for it, but it crashed the client, so I think we are stuck with just 0 - 4. I never did try and replace the .wav file with a custom one, but I can assume as long as you keep the file name the same, and just replace it that way, it should work. Unless it's also based off file size, then maybe not. Unfortunately, the server I was testing on is down at the moment, and can not test this.
