    MRF Unpacker

    What is this?

    It's a tool for extract all the game contents(music,models,graphics...) from RaiderZ's and Gunz 2 MRF files.

    How to use?

    1º Create new folder and put inside Unpack.exe, fileindex.msf and the MRF file you want to unpack.

    2º Run Unpack.exe, write path and name.

    For example, if you want to unpack system.mrf you should do:

    Path: Data/system.mrf
    name: system.mrf

    If you want to unpack BGM.mrf you should do:

    Path: Data/Sound/BGM.mrf
    name: BGM.mrf

    3º Wait until console windows (cmd.exe) dissapears. You now have all the unpacked files of the MRF you selected inside the folder where Unpack.exe is placed.

    This step can take from seconds to minutes, depends on the MRF size and your computer speed.

    Download: Unpack.rar

    Tested on Windows XP Professional SP3 on some MRF files(not all). If you find a MRF file that doesn't get unpacked and you followed all the steps on "How to use" then post there what file is and I'll look at it.

    NOTE: Some files can't be unpacked because they aren't inside fileindex.msf, probably because they aren't still used in-game. Those files are:

    Raiderz => Shaders.mrf
    Gunz2 => mansion2.mrf

    Re: MRF Unpacker

    Worked like charm.

    Placed Unpack.exe in client root folder.
    Entered Data/system.mrf and then system.mrf

    And I got files from system.mrf Sweet :)

    Could you please make it extract files in folder with the archives name?
    So if you are extracting system.mrf it will create folder sytem.mrf and put files there.

    Thanks :D

    Re: MRF Unpacker

    This thing won't work no matter what Path or whatever I use for it.

    Do you have to put the whole path (C:/blabla/)? or if it is in the same folder just hit enter and enter system.mrf, or put the name of the file twice if it is in the same folder?

    EDIT: Using Vista Home Premium SP 2 x32

    Re: MRF Unpacker

    So system.mrf for example is not been unpacked correctly?

    You have to put path and name the same I did in the example
    with the lowercase and uppercases.

    I tested not only on the dev computer but also on another
    with same OS and worked, so no idea what's happening.

    -Edit-

    Tested on Windows XP Home Edition SP3 and worked too.
