I want to finalize a few more things, and i want to finish my in game sprite changer before releasing.
I understand they're client edits - I more or less meant specifying which files got edited. If that's too much hassle I'd understand.
I just think it'd help other players understand how the source works.
Oh there are way to many, since for example the movement is called in about 3 different files.
How about getting a tracline then? ;3
I think my post got deleted.
Anyway, yesterday I asked if you're planning on releasing the code of the edits or only allowing people to play the game?
It got deleted, and i had replied too.
I said, source of course.
hey default post the client edit with client and server folders in .zip to full download and please make one video tutorial to setup this server
what happened to all you big talk about editing the source and such?
the way i see things, your only lingering around demanding things.
DefaultTx also has his own SVN which im assuming is and will be updated as soon as he's ready to release his edits and source files or when he gets the chance too.
The way I see things, it's called I have a life. Don't go badgering me about what I was planning on doing with the source. I'm busy nearly every day of the week. I haven't even had time to work on my website which I usually do in my spare time. This is the first time I've gotten on here to read on what's been going on with Pokenet for days. And FYI, I have been working on the source, but I haven't been spending nearly as much time as Default is. He's got a lot more work than I've done on it. And I'm sure he's more familiar with the source.
This is only something I do in my spare time, which this summer is limited.
Also, I simply asked him a question. I don't need other people trying to butt their heads into someone else's business anyway. And I'm not demanding anything. I only asked what his plans were for his source.
Next time, don't assume things unless you know the whole story.
did you really think i gave a shit, i honestly don't think anyone really wanted to know about your "life", so technically your involving everyone into your life.
I'm just stating what you said, maybe next time don't keep saying your going to be doing something you aren't even going to be. If you had a brain you could of saved yourself the stupid question by reading the first post and see what he had in mind.
the funny part about ppl saying they have a life, normally means they don't and have to advertise they do, to make them not look so pathetic.
p.s - we all have lives or else we would be dead.
Hey default, I have a suggestion.
Make it print less to the bat file. We don't need to see every chat message, every route, every account created/logged in, etc.
I think account, created and logged in / out and chat is important, i think what could be filtered is when they click, etc thats annoying.
When people asked me, I told them what I was planning on doing with the source. Notice that the world "Planning" is bold. That means, that's what I WANTED to do. I've worked on the source but I only get access to the computer I have it on once a week. I'm on a Mac at the moment which I work from. Advertising I have a life? A life that doesn't involve coding a game 24/7. I'm juggling classes and work. I'm putting my priorities first. I didn't make a commitment to you or anyone else at this forum. I told you the reason why I didn't work on the source as much as I wanted to and instantly you go ape on me. Calm it buddy.
And, I asked him the question because I knew he planned on releasing it, but I wasn't sure if he was planning on releasing it only to be played or the source itself. It's called Clarification.
