Hey,

So some of you may have seen my rant on not having a working decent version of any of the PHP Pokemon online games available. So I decided to build my own, it will be basic to start with then I will upgrade with more more and features and make it as dynamic as I can.







Updates::
So Today I decided that I didn't want to make a copy of an existing version I want to make a big impact and improvement. So I'm going to make it so dynamic as I possibly can, its current 82% faster than vortex and you will almost never need to change the page. Everything will be dynamic loaded in using Ajax, and cool effects will be used when battles occur. I hope to provide some more screens shots later this week.

Another big push today, fixed a lot of bugs and added custom charters, you can now pick from a range of charters these are then displayed on the map and inside the arrow ring. I also updated a few Ajax calls used to make the battle overlay which I will show off in a screen shot very soon!

Spent a lot of time looking at the back-end I have created a much better login and signup system using salted passwords. I also created a few more player sprites so when you sign up you can pick from a few other players, on top of that added the starter Pokemon and added some new wild Pokemon to make things more interesting for me when I run into a wild Pokemon, during testing! Tomorrow going to either take a look at the arena it's self and adding movement between maps function or work on the battle scene.

FAQ?
Q. Will it be multiplayer?
A. Of course I will use a combination of web sockets, and NodeJS.

Q. Will it work on mobiles and tablets?
A. Yes the site is currently built on bootstrap 3.2 framework, and the game window will have arrow overlays for phones and tablets.

Q. How many Pokemon will there be?
A. The current method I have for adding pokemon is extreme slow and it would take me days to add 1000s so the first release wont have many roughly 100. Its super easy to add them though and as development moves on I hope to add more.

Q. What will I require to install my own setup?
A. You will need a MYSQL Database, Domain, & standard WebHosting.

Q. What programming languages have you used?
A. So far PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JS, Jquery, MYSQL, I plan to use nodejs for multiplayer.

Q. Is there a demo?
A. There is a demo its hosted currently on one of my sites, but I want to get it to a point were I feel its worth showing off first :P

Q. Is it going to be a complete copy of any other sites E.g Vortex?
A. Its going to be similar but it wont be a direct copy, you can already tell the difference between the two.

Q. How long until I can download it?
A. I don't like to put a time on things I feel pressure to live up to that date and will rush things. I want to make sure the first version I put out (1.0), is stable and has enough features to please.

Q. Will it be free & open source?
A. Yes it will be free and technically open source, I have used a Jquery scrambler so its harder for players to edit for now.

Yeah I will you can have an option of either one click or move with arrows, that's a very easy addition to make. Thanks for the first comment !
