    Pokemon Revolutions Server Emulator [Request]

Knowing Nintendo, they will shut down PRO (it kinda deserves it though, they charge money for in game items.)

So in the case of this happening, we need a server emulator, as the devs won't release the server files for some reason (probably because they make money off of it, which is illegal)

    They aren't making money illegally

They do not own Pokemon, or have rights to use the IP. Making money off of the game is 100% illegal

If I recall correctly, the developer is from Australia, so this would be something of interest. https://www.efa.org.au/Issues/Censor/cens1.html What he is doing may be illegal where you are from, but not where he is from.

They can still send them a DMCA. They've sued companies from china which has no Copyright laws. anyway, I just want a private server to play on alone mainly cause fuck communities in video games

As long as they don't personally profit from the game and don't claim anything that is owned by Nintendo they should be fine

They can definitely get shut down, but I doubt they'd get sued

Re: Pokemon Revolutions Server Emulator [Request]

Sueing them would be a waste of money for nintendo as they would 100% win the case against them, and the devs don't have the money to hold their own in a court case. Shutting them down is going to happen and that is why I want a server emulator, so if it does get DMCA'd, people can still play it

Has anyone created a server emulator for this game? It uses the same engine as pretty much any other Pokemon MMO I think

I want a sever emulator so I can play by myself, do whatever I want, play with only a few friends. I despise MMOs as they die when ever the servers get shut down (paying for server rent basically) and I am glad the genre of MMORPG is dying.

Also Nintendo will shut the game down and I want a way to play it after they have

PWO has been up since like 2008. If they play it right , they won't get shut down. if you want to play with your friends just take up one of the released servers. It's all basically the same.

Pro is hosted offshore in sweden dcma ignored servers same as Pwo. The developer and core staff from pro are from pwo. Pwo was hit with a cease and desist letter in 2011 so pro knows how to get around this. They arent going anywhere anytime soon.

The devs are dicks to people that want private serves, they claim that donations go to server costs, but if they would allow private servers, they wouldn't have to worry about that now would they?

What they are doing is illegal though so if people could stop defending them that would be nice. I just want a server emulator so I don't have to play something that could be shut down.
