[Dev]Edit Arena Reward Into Sr_GS Memory

Hello RZ !

i was thinking alot in changing the arena reward into silkroad files any way i explorer all the exe , dll files , db then find the arena reward is into the gs memory dump , if you edit it with hex editor its will not work like search for ITEM_ETC_ARENA_COIN with hex editor into gs you will find it but when you try to changing it to anything else its will not work cuz this is just a comment from official offset

so what i did is edit the gs offset and make the reward Glaive DG11 SOS ( NOT TESTED )

First > open the sr_gameserver.exe into ollydebug ( Win xp ) or use last ollydebug 2.XX for any other windows

searche for all strings ( Coin )

Follow into dis..

you will see the comment is ASCII "ITEM_ETC_ARENA_COIN"

@ Back to topic: androw3349, did you figure out where does it store, how "many" items it gives if you win/lose/neutral?

i think most people want to change the amount of arena coins you get if you lose to 0 to reduce amount of multi-clients on servers.

do you have any idea where it is?

he (saxz) been talking to not just leech and release, but look what he does - just leech.

You can do the same by editing the database.
As we see right now, it does only use the ITEM NAME, in order to give the item out.

Means, you can edit in refobjcommon, TBLADE RARE to the name of the COIN, and the COIN to the name of the TBLADE.

Thats its after all.

I have an idea, away away from using ollydbg ...

I will not change ITEM_ETC_ARENA_COIN, just I will change what inside it ... Icons, type, paramaters ... etc

I will make ITEM_ETC_ARENA_COIN = ITEM_CH_BLADE_A , but it will stay ITEM_ETC_ARENA_COIN ingame .. but the name will be changed by editing Text side ...

I don't know what will happen exactly, Like, Arena coin will never work .. only if redirect payment device from ITEM_ETC_AREAN_COIN to another item .. it will be fixed on my think ...

My idea was thinking on another way to use ITEM_ETC_ARENA_COIN as another item and redirect payment devices to another Item ... but is that possible ??

Changing the arena reward is just too easy,create a new pointer into gs memory and write your new item code,change the push which has the old pointer with your new pointer,you're done
