    Dynamic IP Restrictions
Dynamic IP Restrictions : The Official Microsoft IIS Site

Reduce the chances of a Denial of Service attack by dynamically blocking requests from malicious IP addresses

Dynamic IP Restrictions for IIS allows you to reduce the probabilities of your Web Server being subject to a Denial of Service attack by inspecting the source IP of the requests and identifying patterns that could signal an attack. When an attack pattern is detected, the module will place the offending IP in a temporary deny list and will avoid responding to the requests for a predetermined amount of time.

For small attack.. IP filtering or restriction should be good enough at IIS level. For cordinated or plan attacks :) either get a big trunk with hardware filtering or get your ISP to do it. :)

Ima contribute abit to this release: if ur using php based panel u should disable error reporting from php.ini, make a include page to check the url for bad ipit ()[]{} etc' same check for all input the user uses at the site, login name etc' in other words: never trust the user!!!!!

    Step 1; Install IIS
Step 2; Change IIS Port to 8010
Step 3; Block Inbound Connect port 8010
Step 4; Setup Zend Server(Select Apache Server Mode) Port: 80

4 Step Very Easy and Safe!!

    Apache for PHP

    IIS for every thing

    ASP > PHP > EMAIL > FTP

    lol all in one ~.~

    Apache works better on linux

IIS not available to linux thats all ...

    Slowloris HTTP DoS

This affects a number of webservers that use threaded processes and ironically attempt to limit that to prevent memory exhaustion - fixing one problem created another. This includes but is not necessarily limited to the following:

    Apache 1.x
    Apache 2.x
    dhttpd
    GoAhead WebServer
    WebSense "block pages" (unconfirmed)
    Trapeze Wireless Web Portal (unconfirmed)
Verizon's MI424-WR FIOS Cable modem (unconfirmed)
Verizon's Motorola Set-Top Box (port 8082 and requires auth - unconfirmed)
    BeeWare WAF (unconfirmed)
    Deny All WAF (unconfirmed)

There are a number of webservers that this doesn't affect as well, in my testing:

    IIS6.0
    IIS7.0
    lighttpd
    Squid
    nginx
    Cherokee (verified by user community)
    Netscaler
Cisco CSS (verified by user community)

    and it's just lvl 0 -.-
