Yea man....I have tried all of the above....and I have other .asp scripts on my server that are currently running cgi, and working just fine....and to eliminate all possibilities I even put copies of the .asp in both the htdocs xampp web root, and the inetpub wwwroot, still nothing......

my conclusion is that it is an issue with in xampp itself and not the server files....but without feedback from other xampp users I am not sure....

I have been working at this like crazy....and this is a release that all of us at Ragezone have been waiting a long time for (Thanks alot!!!! btw :thumbup: **Ahem** ChernoPro)....so you can definitely vount me in on the helping where I can......

but like I said ....I need some feedback from others who are using xampp's php system, and running cgi...

Basically what I will need to know is if it is working on xampp or not, and if it is, I would love to get a copy of the correct "php.ini" file (its in C:\Xampp\php\(config, or just in the php folder depending on xampp version)

Also.....I dont know if it will help or not, but my OS and Application info's or the following:

Windows 7 Ultimate (64bit)

MSSQL Server 2008 R2 Full (not express so the director looks like this - "*******-PC\MSSQLSERVER"

Xampp 1.7.3 (with full Apache, FTP, Mercury, and Tomcat)

IIS 7.0 (from the Win 7 OS) that has been Official Upated to 7.5 extensions or w/e.....

Like I said....the cgi is working for other .asp files on the server....just not the silkroad ones....

soo, hmmm thinking now, do I have to point it to the asp in "wwwroot", or can I point it to the .asp's in Xampp's "htdocs"?

not sure if it matters or not

Either way, Im gonna scratch this....and start over from step 1 (again :$:)....maybe I missed something

Looks to me like the Error 500 I posted is telling me my cgi is working...however it is overloading (and that is a mystery to me).....

Chernobyl...you said that you got it working (I think I read that somewhere...but maybe not)

If so, what are the chances we can do a private transfer and I can obtain a copy of your webhosts "php.ini" file to peek at.....something about this just screams bad ".ini" file somewhere.....so if I can get one from someone who has it working...I can compare it to mine, and with any luck I can post up a php.ini file that will work...

Any idea how to increase SOX rates?I've set drop rate to 50x , killed thousands of mobs -not a single SOX and full ground of normal items.

you need to go to your Database and in SRO _VT_ACCOUNT, you need to find the table _PrivilagedIP (or whatever its called) and add that IP to that table....no periods...dont use them, seperate the number section by putting each in a different column

IP1=192 IP2=168 IP3=0 IP4=10 IP5=192 IP6=168 IP7=0 IP8=10

This will add that LAN IP to the OK List:thumbup:

Np....and as for the gm console, I am assuming you mean the SMC......well the SMC can be started when the server(s) are up, but I am not sure how many of them actually need to be running in order for it to start, I had it running in the beginning, and now for some reason it freezes and crashes as soon as it starts up....and when it was running the annoying alarm would go off because the stupid shared manager would shutdown....:rolleyes:

RE: Shared Manager........well man, some people have gotten it working, and simply put, some people (like me:mad:) have not......I dont know if it is a compatibility issue with the xampp version of Tomcat, or if it is something funky in the php.ini file....but either way...with all good settings...it still just fails...

I have decided that I was going to start completely over from scratch, so I nuked my old SQL Server, and ALL of my network and data configs....uninstalled and deleted everything left over, and even cleansed my registry of EVERYTHING sql......now I have the server reinstalled, with EVERY available add-on (I got the developers edition from my school cause I want to rule out any possible compatibility issues.....anyhow, I am actually in the middle of setting up everything right now, so I will let you know for sure if anything changes...

so when i try to click start on the luancher i get this error(iam using 15779 port)
so why i get this error?

Apparently we have all the configs okey, alot of persons have this error and didnt get any answer. We must wait for news about this u.u

Edit :

What client and media do you use ?

Im using at now bsro old client + old media.pk2 some people said to use new client+old media. Im downloading the new one.

and the DBConnect.asp should show a blank page only, but instead I get error 500

The CGI pipes are fine....this is on a server computer that has FastCGI and it is currently working fine for other applications....

Could this be a Xampp issue..... at this point in time, the only thing I can come up with is that something inside the php.ini (in Xampp) or an improper execution by the php-cgi.exe file (also in xampp) is occuring.....

Chern...or someone who has most likely also been up all godamn night.......please answer me this

Anyone out there using Xampp get this thing to work (btw I use old Xampp 1.7.3...the newer ones crash alot)

AMD Phenom 2 X6 1100T 3.38Ghz (Six Core)
16 Gigs DDR3 Ram
4 Gigs Video (this doesnt apply I guess)

Ok so basically....there is no reason for this to happen....and I am fuckin pissed loooool:grr:

Anybody know how to fix this piece of crap error?? It happens when I try to run Silkroad.exe

Is it maybe the client connecting to the wrong port? I edited the DIVISION.TXT (Server IP) in Media.Pk2, and then I also edited the GATEPORT.TXT (Connection Port) in Media.Pk2 .....

Ok so the Chinese Memory Error is gone now, the problem was the pk2 editor....use GrindRoads Patcher...it worked much better

but now, that Memory error has been replaced with this error that translates into:

Server being down or under check....

in Server all of my processes and nodes are started....ALL of them are the cool little blue faces....

Client config is this:

IP = 192.168.1.2
Port = 15779

The launcher starts up after that first message...and then it sits there with no start option.....

What am I doing wrong here...lol I have the feeling it is something totally noob and I am going to facepalm

Ok, after everything running so nice, there is coming new problems.

As i understood, there needed Multiple:
# 3 Agent servers.
# 3 Gameservers.
# 2 Downloadservers.

My Q to Synx7 were: how can I run 2nd gameserver?

Synx7's Answer: With a virtual machine or another host. Also requires to edit the cert for link more nodes.

So my last Question, How can it be done?
