I was able to solve the problem above just edit the cacheserver.ini something and change port from 15500 to 15400

now can I ask where is peach and the function of safe upgrading located? is it available on this source? thank you

okay solved my rain flyff issue only the microsoft visual studio is my problem now

Well Vs 2003 works with Windows 7 the only problem you will encounter is the part if you debug the source.
If you have debugged it and are willing to compile it in release mode then you need to restart VS 2003.

For the rest it works just fine.

I am using it on windows 7 and tested it on windows server 2008(r2) and windows 8.1 no problems so far.

I keep getting login details incorrect.

I followed the tutorial, I go to http://www.functions-online.com/md5.html and use: patum+password

but when i go into client and type the password: login incorrect

are you sure the correct crypt for password is patum+password?

Nevermind, fixed it.
now I can login, but then theres another problem:

I get "cannot connect to game server, please check network"

What is it?
