    Certification Server.

    Hey everyone, hopefully this hasn't been answered before.. I'm trying to setup sRO for me and a couple buddies, and I finally got MS SQL and the ODBCs perfect(to my knowledge.)

    So, I'll just show you how far I am, and what's happening.

    ODBC;

    Certification Server; Error, and what I can't seem to get past.

    I'm using a clean install of Windows XP Pro over Windows Virtual PC. Using Mssql server 2008 R2. The VPC has 3GB ram, and is using 1 core/6 on my Phenom II x6. I'm using the server files for v188. I don't need anything fancy, just working server with the 188 client. (Which I followed the guide, I just seem to be stuck here, as it's not giving off any logical error.) Any help will be much appreciated.

    Re: Certification Server.

    You mean Download Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5 from Official Microsoft Download Center which the OS Requirements are above XP? It has 4.0.30319 installed. I decided to humour it, and download and attempt the install, and it said that it's not supported on it's operating system. Thanks, any other suggestions?

    Re: Certification Server.

    Thanks BadFist, but uh.. could you reiterate which of the DSN tabs are unneeded? I tried removing one, trying the server, then the other.
    No difference is apparent to me. The same error seems to come up;
    Code:
    C:\Documents and Settings\Admin\Desktop\Cert>CustomCertificationServer.exe packt
    .dat

    Unhandled Exception: System.Net.Sockets.SocketException: The requested address i

       at Program.Main(String[] args)
    My ini files seem right, unless I misunderstood something in the guide.

    They are the same settings I used in MS SQL Studio.

    Re: Certification Server.

    Do you see a problem with this?

    (From srNodeType.ini)
    Code:
    [global]
    count=1
    [entry0]
    id=335
    operation_type=22
    name=SRO Waeboo
    wip=my.wa.n.ip
    nip=127.0.0.1
    machine_manager_node_id=699
    WAN IP replaced with text-based representation of it. I used the ip there that comes from whatismyip.com. Or does the IP have to be physically allocated on the network? ie: wip = 192.168.0.11 that comes from the router DHCP?
