    Character Selection Location offsets.

Did anyone figured out the camera position, character X Y and Z spotting?
Searched for 20 minutes (being tired, so tried not that long) and wasn't able to find those corresponding offsets. Are they probably written in hex alike the region id of the wharf? Or some sort of pointers?

Any clue, write it down here. Want to complete my login stuff for my 8 character set up.

    TL;DR
    Char Select Location
Region offset: easy to figure out
    X-axis offset: pretty necessary
    Y-axis offset: pretty necessary
    Z-axis offset: pretty necessary
Character vertical rotation: would be fine, but not that urgent.
Camera X Y Z Angle Rotation: would be fine, but not that urgent.

To make it more imaginable, character selection locations:
    Jangan/Donwhang ferry (2005 times)
    Constantinople wharf (current official one)
    Devil's Garden (for my client)

What are you trying to do? change the location of the char selection screen to something else like Devil's Garden?

Personally, I would really like to get the old character selection screen.
But it seems that it's hard to find the correct offsets.
Synx achieved to move it in the ROC instance but he couldn't choose precisely the place.

Do anyone have something regarding this ?

Synx only has the RegionID offset, nothing else. The misplaced region is just about missing/unmodified Y, X, Z Character-Box placement, Y, X, Z, Angle, Spin Camera-Spot placement.

Uhm ... actually, people ain't that dumb, I assume.
If the region ID is in hex, so the rest should be in hex.
Consta's Wrath Z-Coord is -27 / -1b = not archieved in anyway relating to the Z-Offset of the placed section.

So this hint is actually old.

That's sad, no pserver has it with vsro files T.T
I'm trying to get the offsets, but no luck at the moment... I hope someday I/someone will find it !

    Re: Character Selection Location offsets.

    This is an offset:
    • Open the sro_client with Ollydbg
    • Right click and Search for > constant.
    • Write in box 695 and search for it
    • you will found this MOV WORD PTR SS:[ESP+18],6951 It's the region of Constantinople Ferry
    • Get the RegionID and put it on hexadecimal website then Change 6951 to Hexadecimal number (use any website to convert numbers to hexadecimal)

btw it won't work, it will make your character selection location empty... (I DID'NT KNOW WHY)

    Re: Character Selection Location offsets.

    We already know that one.
    6951 is 26961 - Constantinople RegionID.

That's not mystical. Known a long time ago, and even easy to figure it out by someones self, if smart enough.

The part which is hard to get is the location position in that region (X Y Z) and the camera position.

The "location empty" depends on your RegionID which you are using. If you use a RegionID which has a Z-Coord. of -28 or lower (-100, -200, etc.) , you will float in mid air. Same goes if you use a RegionID on a higher ground - you will be stuck in the surface (like Devil's Garden, quite beneth the ground level).
