Stones that do not work

Hello all
First i want to say i love this site and hope that someone out there can help me fix a small problem with the stones we are having .
i guess it would be better to start off with what they are and how they are not working .
all levels of ATT. stones of "Mind - Flesh - Spirit and Life" which are for Shield/Protector enhancements when you put your shield or armor into the Alchemy window they shield and armor will go in no problem but when you try to put the stones into the window to strengthen them you get this error "

and just in case the pic does not load it says "The type does not suit the corresponding item .

and i have tried editing them in the DB and importing new items text from all over but can not get them to work and i am hoping that someone out there has had this problem and knows how to fix it or can tell me whats wrong or why its not working ...Please Help if you can Thank you .
