vps for 500 player with 8gb= hell lagggggggggggggg need 32gb and hdd is to small need like 500-1tb (with 8gb you can have max 50~150 playrs but dont make unique event )and as i know setup server on vps is litle hard..
better buy a dedibox is like ~200 pounds

you will probably see some differences when u get 400+players but its minor, basically a VPs is a part of Dedi in sort of way, its assuming u even get to have 400 players, as for the hardware 8gigs is not the best, but still can run the server with all the regions depending on your proccesor, and again 140gigs of hard disk not the best but enought, i recommend you to pay the extra its make a huge difference.

and remember, the hdd is not for you alone , is shared in the others "vps" on that machine, so expect some write/read lag depending on what is hosted on the others vps
and if you take ddos all who have vps on dedi will be afected
Make sure you invest in protection too, it is really important nowadays, and don't think all the services are the same, because they are not, actually the most you invest, the safe you are.
