EvilzRAN server connection failed

hey guys, i have a problem concerning evilzran client when i try to setup a server for LAN.
NOTE: all 4 servers and databases work absolutely fine and without errors!
The server version is ep6 season 2 and im using a 2nd computer for it.
im using the serverfiles posted here ->http://forum.ragezone.com/f528/relea...on-2-a-669072/
and configured param. ini using REditor (and even configured some other files that had evilzran ips)
renamed RES2.exe to game.exe
and even tried to use Ianz launcher 43

problem description: When i try to run the launcher it IMMEDIATELY sais server connection failed (as if its not even trying to connect anywhere) even though all server still run smoothly.
I hope someone may be able to tell me whats wrong and ill experiment on it in the meantime.

or did you mean some other config may be wrong?

The client of ranevilz is new. If you've just recently downloaded the client you'll be having trouble in making a server since i think they've encrypted some files in their game.exe. If not then you just have a problem in your configuration as kakiseret said.

double check ur configuration:

config folder>> all ip should be ur lan ip (session, login, agent and field)
param.ini>>> should be ur lan ip( the same w/ the ip in config/cfg folder)
delete the game.exe(jescolta)
used res2.exe and rename it ti game.exe
replace ur launcher
check ur firewall settings, session, agent login and field should be in the list of exception

when u ran ur server and no error but character failed to be process, click the connect button on the login, field and agent server......make sure all ur server are connected to one another sometimes when u ran the agent its not connected to field server

Server Connection happen in launcher if you did not configure the launcher config files.. Once you run the launcher it will fail because launcher cant find the specific server adress/files/patchsite. try to use direct launcher..

i configured the launcher config files and all other config files properly and even checked them again and again but still theres this little problem remaining (else i wouldnt post here since i know how easy you can forget one of these files).

i downloaded the client recently... so this could be the source of my problem?

also i did notice there was NO game.exe by sir jescolta inside the client folder so i couldnt even delete it. Only the RES2.exe was inside and i renamed that to game.exe (yes i did read any other related topics)

if its really the problem with encryption, should i choose another client maybe? and if yes what would you recommend?

sir..try use offline ip to ensure your system/config working..try 127.0.0.1..if u can login/play that mean ur server working well..

Now ive copied the param.cfg and made the second one into param.ini ;)
It did help so far, as of now i get a different error message.
Now it sais "Contact event was not occured" in my launcher.
Any ideas about that? ill try to search for this problem and investigate deeper.

btw..ep6 and ep3-ep4 got different param.ini..ep6 need to encode by using rzcheck..u need fresh param.ini..dont edit ur old param..this from my experience..the most important..

If you are using Launcher 4.3 by ianotida you need to have a configuration base on your webserver or your site it self. in your cfg edit the following example site:
--PATCH SITE : Metasearch Search Engine - Search.com

Explanation : /patchsite/ is the folder where SVR.INI resides
/svr.ini > is the configuration where your launcher communicates if your launcher detects your svr.ini in your site you will see that your launcher is connecting until it say's START

Some are self explanatory but if you are having a problem maybe you can check ianotida's guide regarding that matter.

thx man, i knew i forgot something
Now ive created a svr.ini in my patch site.
The launcher connects with my login server properly and gets ready to start. when i click on start however only a small login window appears instead of the game client oO
do i need to change my game.exe in order for this to work?
since i get the error that my username is invalid even though its a user created in my db.

edit: exchanged the launcher and now the game starts but i still get username/password did not match

hey bdr, i did my server the way you say here in this thread. and i got stuck in the same point ... like you said the game starts but logging into an account fails due to username/password missmatch

now the interesting question is if the client, the server or the database does not work properly...

are you using the same source files?
maybe the server just wont accept the database... but in that case it shouldnt start at all.
else hmm well... i guess its something client related but its really hard to find a good client thats not totally encrypted.

sir you can't play in ep6 s2 you need other pc to connect to it....
