I presume that your ISP is SkyBroadband they don't allow you to port forward unless you buy a static ip that is around 499 to 799php

Sometimes Cisco router will auto close port when is not use, altought u have already opened it
So u have to run game server and then check port of the gamesever that is running and u might see it open.
Also please check your IP u in is IPv4
and the port you're check needs to be your public IP (u can just google it)
Else try restart ur router and see.

If you are forwarding a port to a consumer device like a camera or a DVR then the only risk is people accessing that device, but the risk is very low as long as you've set up a password on the device. If you are forwarding a port to a computer then you need to make sure that the computer has a software firewall. Moreover, the problem can be in your router, and if you want a solution, you just need to know your router login and you can easily find it on the Internet. There are some sites which can help you a lot.
