Hi , i have a webhost and vps windows server 2008. i have problem with the webhosting as it doesnt connect on my ms sql server 2008 database. does anyone know how to fix it? in my localhost i can connect remotely on my ms sql server 2008 database but when i try to control panel in webhost which is hostgator it doesnt seem to work. here is the link http://rdeantech.com/robert/deanran/checkconnection.php

or is anyone interested in selling webhost + vps i am planning to transfer as the one i have purchased which is emolista is so slow to support on this matter. thanks

I'm having the same problem with hostgator . I think your config is wrong , but I configured mine in the right settings but it doesn't work . My friend developer tried to use my settings.php and panel on his webhost and it worked . I think that hostgator is at fault.

my config is right i think this is mainly hostgator issue.. cant support a ticket to them as i dont have the billing details of hostgator.. wish someone would offer me or selling vps and webhost i will buy, i will transfer as the one i have purchased is so slow to support.

Just contact hostgator and let them configure it for you. They will ask you some information of your VPS/Dedicated Server and then they can assist you further. But just to remind you, Hostgator queue is a long line like a government line waiting to be serve. So you need to answer the support as fast as you can so that they will not leave you back on queue.

ill try contact hostgator and the support is so slow also. Emolista also is so slow to support i dont recommend him if you want to build your server or even pre purchased hosting accounts he is not a good developer.

When i need help and contacting hostgator they are helping me on the best of their knowledge sometimes they wil ask your credentials and they will login your account and they will be the one who will fix your problem for you. It's just their reply on chat support respond takes so long.

If you're hosted remotely at hostgator, you should contact them first to except your MSSQL port on their firewall.
