[Help] Servers Are Online Login Closed...

So iv Searched i found another topic with this title, but no one gave an actual answer. Im creating a ROW server, when i start the controller it opens all the servers up and there are no errors/crashes, but the login server is "closed" i attempted to do server_open it worked the first time then i restarted and it wont work any longer, any help would be appreciated! thanks

But i Am getting a lost auth connection error upon entry into the game, before login, error is posted in the help section please respond!

hey i got the same prob, login server closed, how do u fix it ?

Heres a little guide on how to get the server controller to work with row:

1. rename ROWLoginServer to: "Login Server.exe" - note the space between the words.
2. edit the config file:
a. Login server new exe name: Addr_1=Login Server.exe
b. under [main] section change the main window class like that: mainWindowClass=RowConsoleWindow

and enjoy the server controller once again ;)


explanation to the curious ones:
1. Before was base class name of the login server the same as the exe name "RylLoginServer". So i used the exe name to find the right window in the windows window enumeration, now they have changed it and as the base class name isn't the same as the exe name you could just rename the exe so server controller finds the right window.
2.b. As you can guess from the change the console window that will be created when you click open console window from the systray menu has a new class name in row. You could easily see the change using the visual studio tool called spy++. Opening the process you can move to the row server process and open the first(main) thread. The first window that is listed there has the class RowConsoleWindow and title "RowGameServer" or login/uid etc.

And thats it, nothing more seems to have changed, havent tested the online countings parsing and console window input tho..

Hey thanks dude, it's working like a charm.
and I also noticed for other prob I'm facing with map servers, it turns out u need to multiply and rename the ROWGameServer.exe.
each ROWGameServer.exe for each map in the servercontroller.ini,
e.g ROWGameServer.exe for map SouthCoast, and ROWGameServer2.exe for map ScynaIsland and so on.

My server is running perfectly fine on every map, but the prob now is, how to enable the "upgrade" and the max level to 100?
I've Searched the forum like a MAD COW, all i find is either a broken link or some Deuche Bag fighting over their ego rather than giving some usefull tut for those who really want to develop the server
