The data files are the property of Ronny? You mean he wrote item_ext_desc.txt and made all the
graphics for the GShop surfaces? Since he is the creator of these data files I suppose I shouldn't
use them... Someone should let Ronny know that Wanmei is using his files in their game.

Concerning analogies, how's this for one?

Intel makes a processor. Later, other companies make a compatible processor (AMD, Cyrix, etc).
Or, Adobe created the PDF format and a reader for them. Other companies create readers that
are compatible with the same file format. Or, Henry Ford makes an automobile. Other companies
start making automobiles. They all have an engine, 4 wheels, a steering wheel, etc. Are they
in "violation" of Ford's automobile design because they all share similar characteristics?

How many ways are there to open and read a fixed file format? Obviously, all these different PDF
readers (for example) are using the same (or nearly same) code to open and read a file with a
    fixed format.

Am I expected to change the file formats of elements.data, gshop.data, etc so my tools are
unique and doesn't share any bit of similar code? No matter what language I use to create tools,
there will be similarities in code simply because the file format the tool opens and reads is fixed.
Even if I write the tools in assembler, the code to open and read the files will be similar - period.
I've even considered writing my tools in java so they'll run on both Windows and Linux. If I did
that I would still be accused of copying, verbatim, Ronny's code...

Let's take my AIPolicy Editor. DO you actually believe I simply "translated" Ronny's C++ to C#
to make it as michae5k believes? Yes, michae5k believes all I did was copy Ronny's verbatim.
I didn't know Ronny's sAIveiw can edit PW and JD aipolicy files.

As I've stated before, if you don't like my work, fine. Don't use my tools. It is ridiculous to
continue tearing me down and cause a great to-do about this project. I stated time and time
again the source will be made available and you will be able to peruse it at your leisure to
determine whether or not you find any of Ronny's code in it. Hell, you can find some of Ronny's
code in programs such as Microsoft Word!

I am still wondering, what the hell is the point in all of this???

This great clusterfuck reminds me of a post I made about gameguard on the RaiderZ forums questioning about its legitimacy.

A few locked 10+ page threads later and no one seemed to acknowledge the info I dug up about the fact it is a root kit, edits registry, logs information on your computer, and can fuck with cpu performance.
All I got was "stop flaming RaiderZ/PWE for choosing gameguard as virus protection" and few threats that if I even mentioned gameguard I would get banned.

This whole dilemma is just like that one instance... Das wanted to make one post questioning the legitimacy (not saying the RaGE editor isn't legit, just that maybe the claims and license should be changed for better accuracy) and now everyone is up on his ass like if he was shitposting the thread.

This was never something I wanted to get into, but the fact that it has so many parallels with that one experience on the RaiderZ makes it hard for me not to sympathize with Das.

    You guys should know better.
Learn that a bit of criticism =/= flaming =/= trolling.

    ~

If you guys want to ignore the point that is trying to be made here, go ahead.
I will just politely let you guys know you probably won't be seeing any more posts from Das anytime soon, if ever.

If that makes you happy in any way, I feel sorry for you.

So now my project is a virus? I should change the GPL license? GPL isn't good enough for you?
    What do you suggest, then?

Omg did you seriously just respond with that?

Did you even read what I wrote?

All I said was your discontent (and people joining in on it) for Das's criticisms reminded me of one experience I had on RaiderZ forums.

I NEVER FUCKING IMPLIED YOUR PROJECT WAS NOT LEGIT OR VIRUS, I EVEN SAID SO TO AVOID THAT ASSUMPTION.

YOUR PROJECT LOOKS FINE, JUST THE CLAIMS ABOUT IT BEING 100% ORIGINAL HANDIWORK IS NOT.

    I... I just...

Just as Ronny's tools are not 100% original handiwork (though many seem to believe that).
Didn't the original developers of PW make tools first? And didn't Ronny use PW files to make his
    tools?

Don't worry, work has completely stopped on the PW Edition and I'm working, solely, on the JD
Edition. When I release it, you will realize that I did not use Ronny's code in mine. Oh sure, some
code will be the same since you can only open, save, etc files in one way (such as using
OpenFileDialog, SaveFileDialog, and tons of other things you find in nearly all .NET programs).

How about I restart the whole damn project and write it in Java? Will you still accuse me of using
Ronny's code? What about assembler? You have you head so far up Ronny's ass... nevermind.

To tell the truth, I don't think there is one damn project in the whole of RZ that uses 100%
original code - period. If you find one, post it, and let everyone know such an animal exists...

    EDIT:
Why isn't anybody all over the Chinese forums "rocking the boat" from people actually using Ronny's code, verbatim? (They've done this with my code, as well.)

BaSH made his own Gshop editor from scratch, only one I know of though (not saying there aren't more, but I know HE did)

    1. Ronnys tools are original, he insisted on re-doing everything despite people trying to help him out.

    2. ragezone was never good. For as long as i've been in the PW section its always been very medicore and reposty.

I respect ronny because without it the world would not change private.

Use the source and change some something is stealing the work of another no matter the excuse.

Ā  You want out instead of making a tools should help improve the tool ronny.

Do not just be better without respect to others' work.
You want fame? Begin to respect the people who brought things free forum.

    ronny1982 is a super person.

Re: Current Status of New Project

I think RZ is re-posty because its the nature of a Forum...that caters for all people, from noobs to pro.
While some people have dev groups (i know they work damn hard to achieve everything they have) or files of PW because they have the connections or contacts to seek out and acquire well before RZ gets things, (good luck to you ) the rest of us must rely on things like leaked Chinese files to make it through.
This (to the noob or not so well organised/connected) makes RZ a lifeline.
Those that are still learning (im always learning) rely on RZ for tutorials and advice and direction.
TBH id be absolutely up the creek without my beloved RZ...
As crazy as it gets here and even heated..its still a blast and worth lots of giggles.
    Damn i love RZ lol.
Without RZ i would have NOTHING...because i would never ever have been able to do this by myself.
Essentially i owe everything to RZ and the good people that are here and i will never forget this.
